About the property

Barn in South Creake, North Norfolk, England - Under 15 Minutes To The Beach. Burnham Market Only 4 Miles Away

This property is a simply stunning converted Norfolk brick and flint barn with 4 en-suite bedrooms. The barn was converted and finished to an exceptionally high standard, and it's design means that there are some sublime views out to the surrounding meadows. It is quietly located in a rural setting adjacent to the village green and fields with sheep and horses, and is secured with electric gates. It is perfectly located in the heart of North Norfolk, and under 15 minutes to the beach. The attractive village of South Creake provides the ideal base for a relaxing retreat, whilst being surrounded by some of the delights of Norfolk. The renowned Georgian village of Burnham Market is only 4 miles away, and just past that lies the award winning Brancaster, Holkham, Wells-next-the Sea and Blakeney coastline. In the other direction, the historic market town of Fakenham is just 6 miles away. The well regarded Jolly Farmers pub is found in the neighbouring North Creake, and the quite brilliant new Cafe and Farm Shop in the surroundings of Creake Abbey is now open and just down the road. King’s Lynn is 20 miles away with regular trains to London via Liverpool Street and Kings Cross taking under two hours, and there are many recommended golf courses nearby.

In the light of more and more people deciding to take their holidays in the UK, this property offers it's guests fantastic value for money. The 'freedom' of self catering and having everyone together in a spacious, high quality accommodation where each bedroom has its own bathroom, has become a very popular modern way of taking a holiday.

The owner has recently started lettings in 2 brand new barns in Little Snoring, which have been designed in the same manner, and are proving equally as popular. You will see the properties under numbers 6818387 and 6915043.

About Simon Graham

I love my weekend breaks, and holidays, and really recommend our property for a break. It has a lovely family feel to it, is in a stunning location and you will come back revitalised and refreshed.

Simon Graham purchased this barn in 2004

Why Simon Graham chose Kings Lynn & West Norfolk

North Norfolk holds some very special memories for myself and my family. Some of my fondest childhood memories were made here. It is a place with huge expanses of stunning beaches, pretty Norfolk villages with cottages built in flint and brick, the market towns of Holt and Burnham Market with their boutique shops, the farm shops and artisan producers and a mass of fabulous places to eat. We have spent enough time in Norfolk to know that it is just as special in the snow, the wind, or a spectacular thunderstorm as it is on a hot balmy day – you just need to be prepared for all eventualities!

What makes this barn unique

The location of No 1 Bluestone could not be better to explore North Norfolk during the day, and then act as a relaxing retreat in the evenings. It is perfect for all generations, from children to great grandparents.

Spacious barn for group gatherings

  • 5 of 5

Spacious barn, very well designed, furnished and equipped - perfect for group gatherings/celebrations. Ample storage space, work surfaces in kitchen and bathrooms and extra seating areas.

Good rural base for exploring North Norfolk. In or near the village - Creake stall for vegetables, Creake Abbey for farm shop/cafe and monthly Farmers' Market, Holkham Hall/estate and expansive beach, Blakeney Point. Good lunch in traditional pub at The Red Lion, Stiffkey.

Amazing stay in beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

We had an incredible weekend staying here. The house itself is huge, amazing high ceilings, big communal sitting area and lovely kitchen where we enjoyed cooking on the aga. Bedrooms all really comfortable and en suite. Good location too as only short drive from seaside, and pub within walking distance. Can't recommend more highly, the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away.

Fabulous Barn

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this beautiful barn with a group of friends and we were absolutely delighted with it. It is very convenient for days out in North Norfolk and we were able to visit Sandringham, Sheringham, Cromer and Wells with ease. South Creake is only a very short drive away from the pretty village of Burnham Market where we bought day to day groceries. No. 1 Bluestone is very spacious and as we were quite a big group, we never felt on top of each other. All the bedrooms are a good size and it was great to have our own bathrooms. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and we found everything we could possibly need. One evening we walked to the Plume of Feathers for a very nice meal. Throughout the booking process Simon was very quick to respond and extremely helpful. I would love to stay here again.

Picture perfect in everyway....

  • 5 of 5

They say that every picture tells a story and this certainly has many to tell. A beautiful barn that takes you breath away when you walk in. My retirement party of 9 people came and we didn't leave. Well only for a wonderful dinner in Walsingham at the Black lion and a walk for Sunday lunch at the Plume of Feathers nearby. Both exceptional and reasonably priced.

No 1 Bluestone rooms are bright and airy, but give a feeling of togetherness whether your sitting outside, in the kitchen or lounge.

The high standard of furnishings and building is certainly a credit to the owners. The wonderful experience of cooking on the Aga, kept the kitchen a hub of activity.....well that and the on-going Prosecco bar that was flowing constantly.

The bedrooms were large and for my mother the downstairs room was certainly very welcoming and accessible. Large sofa's and all beds were comfortable too.

I would not hesitate to return as it is so quiet and easily accessible.

We did mention to Simon that a 'Hot tub' would be a lovely addition to the courtyard outside the kitchen....that's if you just wanted to go, relax and have plenty of laughs. Which we did. A wonderful way for me to start the countdown for my 'retirement'.

Certainly recommend it, the owner is always at the end of an email and very prompt with any questions that you may have before going. Its definitely one on my list to return to.

The picture we painted this weekend was one of 'family times'.....just good old fashioned talking and laughter.....we left our phones off and just shared time together, 'Life is short' so go for it and take the opportunity of painting this picture too, because you certainly will at No 1 Bluestone South Creake.
