Beautiful 2 Bedroom - 2 Bathroom Apartment close to the wonderful beach and Los Alcazares Plaza

The apartment is the ideal place for a family holiday and set within a beautiful and secure gated complex with two swimming pools. It is only a 10 minute walk to the lovely promenade and blue flag beaches of the Mar Menor. Murcia airport is situated only 15 mins away from Los Alcazares and taxis are easily available. The apartment has early morning sun on the balcony overlooking the pool and provides a lovely setting in which to enjoy breakfast. Los Alcazares has a varied choice of restaurants: Spanish, English, Chinese, Indian and Italian, all within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. Traditional tapas is also available in many of the small cafes and bars close to the apartment and also at the numerous beach-side cafes. Lifeguards are on duty at the pools during the summer months and El Divino is welcoming for both couples and families to enjoy their holidays.

We have always enjoyed family holidays in Spain and love visiting Los Alcazares as it's a great family location.

Lovely short break in the sun

Clean and spacious apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed eating out on the balcony overlooking the pool to escape the sun for a short while!

The apartment is in an ideal location with two large supermarkets less than ten minutes walk away, as well as many restaurants which serve a variety of cuisines. Our personal favourites were Angela's Italian and la taparia for traditional Spanish.

The beach is lovely and quiet, and less than fifteen minutes walk, with various beach cafes for drinks/snacks and tapas.

We also enjoyed hiring bikes for the day (very cheap way to get about and explore Los alcazares), and laying by the pool which was very quiet and relaxing.

All in all, a great apartment in a great location.

We bought the property as El Divino offers families and couples alike a fantastic location close to beaches with a vast array of restaurants, supermarkets and coffee shops. Los Alcazares has also retained it's Spanish feel and we love the local tapas and seafood on offer.

Activity and Interests


The wonderful warm waters of the Mar Menor are only a 10 minute walk from the apartment. There is a long sandy safe beach with a number of beach bars and cafes. The Mar Menor is great for all the family to enjoy. All of the beaches around Los Alcazares are EU blue flag beaches and ideal for children to enjoy.


Murcia San Javier, airport is a 10 minute drive away whilst Alicante is a 50 minutes drive. A car is essential if arriving from Alicante, but it is not essential from Murcia San Javier airport. Taxis are easily available at San Javier Airport and we have details of a local taxi company who can be booked via email prior to leaving home.


Murcia is a 40 min drive away and is worth visiting for it's famous cathedral and many shops and restaurants. It even has an IKEA for anyone wishing to visit.

The Roman port of Cartagena is 20 min away it has a Roman amphitheatre and impressive marina. It will take 35 minutes to the Espuna National park which is a mountainous area of outstanding beauty and has fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. La Manga is 20 minutes drive and has an abundance of sporting activities available.

Further Details:

There are a number of supermarkets within a 10-15 minute walk of the apartment. The Mercadona has a fantastic selection of locally caught seafood and is situated in the plaza.

A wine merchants is also nearby with tasting of wines produced in the region available before you buy.

There's an abundance of local restaurants, coffee shops and bars within a 10 minute walk and a number of banks and a post office in the plaza.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of £100 per week of rental cost is payable to secure your booking.
The balance plus £100 returnable security bond, is required 8 weeks before arrival. The returnable security deposit is returned within 7 days of departure after return of keys and inspection of the apartment.
Please note if you book within 8 weeks of arrival the full amount will be required plus the security bond.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible with the arrival time at 4pm and departure time 11am. If there is not a same day changeover booking, and you have a late flight, we can be flexible with departure times.

Notes on prices:
Prices are detailed per week - 7 nights and a minimum 1 week rental.
However, we are aware that some guests may require additional days and we will try to be as flexible as possible in order to accommodate.
The apartment will have been cleaned prior to arrival and this is included in the rental costs.
Should you require additional cleaning during a 2-week stay, please contact the owner for details and charges.

To secure a booking £100.00 deposit is required. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival together with a £100.00 refundable breakages deposit.

Our apartment is centrally located close to all amenities, shops, beaches, supermarkets etc. Our favourite times are having breakfast on the balcony in the morning and sitting out at night in the peaceful location overlooking the pool.
