Stunning accommodation over three floors. Beautiful 1920's Tudor house with bright and airy, tasteful accommodation. Exmouth is a lively town, situated on the east coast of Devon, where the River Exe meets the sea. The town (1 mile from property) offers a diverse selection of shops, places to eat and things to do, including top quality water sports such as windsurfing and kite-surfing, fantastic routes for cycling and walking, internationally-acclaimed nature reserves and unique cultural events as well as two miles of stunning beach that are a joy whatever the weather. Since the Regency period when seaside holidays became fashionable, people have been coming to Exmouth to enjoy the scenery, the great choice of restaurants and the huge range of leisure activities. About Paul Fox

Hi folks,

Welcome to our wonderful property Grey Gables. We live and work in Exmouth and this is our family home with a family feel.

Our intention is for you to turn up on your holiday and feel like its home from home. Relax, kick back, run around the garden, bake on the beach, get out on the water and enjoy the town's food and beverage establishments.

The house is only available over the summer as it is our family home the rest of the year. Enjoy.

Why Paul Fox chose Exmouth

This is a real family town, lots of activities around the beach and close to the Moors too.

Grey Gables is in a super quiet cul de sac but only 1m to town centre and 1/4m to the beach

Exmouth has ample shopping, a cinema, bowling alley, softplay centre, pedestrianized cafe area, great pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. There is even a floating cafe only accessible by water unless you are a really strong swimmer.

There are festivals, fetes and all sorts of other entertainment constantly going on.

The beach here is nearly two miles of golden sand and very shallow, so kid friendly. You can hire all sorts of sea going craft from kayaks to dinghy's, SUP and powerboats.

Exeter airport is 20 mins away, Exmouth railway station links to Exeter and the M5 is only 15 mins from the

What makes this house unique

The house is fabulously situated. In a quiet cul de sac, but only 20 mins walk or just under a mile to the town centre. We are only a quarter mile form the beach which is visible from the house upper storey.

The house has a big private garden and at the bottom of the lane (100M) there is a public footpath into countryside. Ideal for joggers or dog walkers who fancy a walk up onto the cliff paths.

Exmouth is a world heritage site for its spectacular Jurassic Coastline and red cliffs.The South West coastal path passes through.

We also have cycle path along the Exe Estuary that will take you along water side views, quaint villages, pub stops, view the Royal Marines Training Centre (!) and onward's all the way to Exeter.

Outside: Private, enclosed south-facing back garden with mature trees, flowers beds, lawns,teak tables and seating for 10, netted large trampoline and child's swing. (use at your own risk). Utility Room: The washer dryer is built into the kitchen units. Laundry soap and dishwasher tablets provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: 12 Towels and facecloths included. Bed linen included. Bring your own beach towels and any extra towels required. Weekly linen change, house cleaning and garden care. Other: Dining room with French doors to terrace and South-facing gardens. Large white dining table to seat 8 and small (kids table) to seat 4.

Amazing house, large comfortable relaxed

We had a memorable holiday, with family 4 generations with plenty of space inside and out side.i love to cook it has a well equipped kitchen all you could want , bakery in town walking distance. Local produce in exmouth with m&s food store as well. The beach near was lovely clean great for a swim or cricket in the evening or walk along the seafront Our second stay as we enjoyed the house so much it has a relaxed vibe and comfy feel.

Sat out in the garden..twilight can see the bats flying...amazing stars on a clear night.

Great Family Home

Everyone had a wonderful time at Grey Gables. It was great being able to relax in a very comfortable property. The children enjoyed the garden, especially the trampoline.

A fine house with excellent family accommodation

Slight disappointment to find how far we were from sea, town and shops. The stray cat was a nuisance and it was a pity the lawn was only cut just before we left. However the house is very well equipped and welcoming with all necessary amenities. It was kind of the owner to leave a number of things like wine, beer, cereal etc which were unexpected. We found it easy to feel at home and it was all we could have hoped for. Thank you to Paul for letting us stay

Beautiful welcoming home

This is a beautiful house, well equipped and ideally located. We stayed as a three generational family group of ten. There was plenty of space for us to be together or to spread out and find a quiet corner. The garden is lovely with enough seats, benches and loungers for everyone as well as swing, hammock and trampoline. The location is quiet but walkable to the beach, shops, etc. Perfect.

Stunning house in great location.

Grey Gables is an amazing house equipped with everything you could ask for and more. From the huge kitchen spacious comfortable bedrooms to the delightful gardens that the grandchildren loved exploring. Only a ten minute walk to the sandy beach. All of the family had a great time in your superb home

Lovely family holiday

We had a lovely holiday in this very spacious family house. It was perfect for our extended family & the garden was beautiful. The beach was only a 10 minute walk & town centre a bit further. The cul-de-sac the house was in was very quiet & peaceful. Overall everything was great & Paul & Neil very helpful.

Two miles of golden sandy beach 10- 15 walk from the house and rock pools galore. Shallow kid-friendly waters and RNLI Lifeguards for extra comfort. Watersports such as kite surfing, kayaking or windsurfing, cycling either on fantastic cycle paths or off-road, bird-watching on the idyllic Exe estuary, enjoying the stunning scenery of the majestic World Heritage Jurassic Coast. An area of outstanding beauty.


Exeter airport is 20 minutes drive. Exmouth train station is 1 mile away. The M5 Jct 30 is 6 miles from the house.


Exmoor is 60 minutes drive. Exeter 25 minutes. Dartmoor is 1 hour drive. Dart's Farm is best farm shop in the South West with the best fish and chips shop in the south-west (10 min drive). Topsham is a quaint estuary town (15- 20 min drive). Budleigh Salterton is a charming stony beach town (20 min drive). Otterton with the popular Otterton Mill is a 25 min drive. Bicton Park is a 20 minute drive. Honiton, (antiques) is a 30 min. drive. National Trust Property, A La Rhonde is in Exmouth.

Les Saveurs is the winner of "The Kitchen Wars" and has the most divine sea bass with Samphire and nettle sauce. Book in advance as very popular and well worth sampling. Very good local Thai, Chinese and Indian restaurants. Thriving night life in the town center, local movie theatre with discount for kids movies on Saturday mornings. Shops, banks and supermarkets all in town. Cranford Sports Club with outdoor pool, Exmouth Tennis Centre as well as outdoor tennis courts. Sam's Fun House area for indoor kids play. Exmouth Fun Park for outdoor kids play. New bowling alley on the seafront.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is the changeover day. Check-in and Arrival not before 4pm, departure 10:00am.

100% refund for cancellations more than 90 days before check-in date.
