About the Owner
My husband and I currently live in England with our 3 year old German Shepherd dog who we adopted when we lived in Peru. We both work but during the last few years we have lived in several different countries for my work. I worked in Paris for 2 years and fell in love with France and so we decided to buy a home here.

An excellent cottage - highly recommended
We found this to be an excellent cottage with high standards in cleanliness, maintenance, style and furnishing. The bedrooms were comfortable with good storage space and of a good size. The downstairs was lovely with a super family lounge in which we enjoyed many family evenings, playing games etc..facilities in this property are also very good with excellent wifi, an extra lounge area with TV and a utility room - very useful! The garden is quaint with dining & sunning areas as well as a superb 'secret garden' to be enjoyed. We also found the cottage to be well placed for exploring this area of Normandy and loved our days out at Falais, Bayeux and Camembert, an excellent cottage throughout - we would certainly highly recommend this to others.
A Fantastic stay
I along with my husband, 3 year old son, and 3 other family members, i stayed at this beautiful property over the festive period for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We were blessed with good weather so we managed to see many of the beautiful places in the area, of which there is an abundance. Of which a nearby city Caen is well worth a visit with its lovely shops and city walls, the town and castle in Falaise, which also has 2 large supermarkets just 15 mins away, and many picturesque villages! We were thrilled with the gite which is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. The large living room was still cosy even at this time of year, as was the 2nd living room which we used many evenings with the beautiful open fire, a great feature! The house is full of original features and has a lovely rustic charm. The only part of the house that we felt could be improved in time would be the shower, which was adequate, but would benefit from modernisation . While there we visited a beautiful restaurant in Falaise 'le jardin' which served amazing food! We already discussed returning in spring time to benefit from the house at that time of year and enjoy the large garden and surroundings. The whole experience was well managed by the owner and the property well maintained. A definite 10 out of 10!
Lovely time with the family in Fourches
Last summer I stayed with my husband, my two kids (12 and 14) and Grandma and Grandpa for one week in that lovely cottage in Fourches.
Normally we prefer Camping but luckily we hadn't done this. The weather was so bad in this week.
And so we enjoyed our evenings inside the rural house. The house offered all you need for cooking (also for BBQ). Also in the house were a lot of books (mostly in english), parlour games and DVD's.
We found a nice game which we played every nights.
There was also a description of the nerest places to buy croissants or meat for BBQ. Also sightseeing plans and tips we found.
At day time we had done trekking in the surroundings and trips to Fallaise, Caen and Arromanches.
I liked most our trip to Pont d'Ouilly. There we had done a kayak tour and booked also a ticket for the climbing parc.
This kayak tour was very exiting and although we had the first non raining day in the week we were wetted from tip to toe (Ha Ha).
It was a really nice week. Only to short.
We all can warmly recommend the house.
Thanks for letting us your cottage.

Vacanza in Normandia agosto 2015
Wonderful gite, quiet rural spot
A great property, very well equipped, lovely and spacious with a big garden which the kids enjoyed. Nice quiet spot in a rural hamlet, yet not far from Falaise which has much to offer, the d-day beaches, Honfleur and Bayeux are a bit further but can be reached in c.1 hour via the nearby toll road
