Guestbook comments from the manager

What a great place to stay, the accommodation was clean and comfortable and a added treat of a cream tea lovely touch!!! Port Isaac itself was beautiful with stunning views. Most cafes and restaurants served an extensive gluten free menu which meant that me and my partner could go out for meals and also our dog was welcome in all shops and several cafes. Highly recommend the Little Sark to anyone and the Port Isaac harbour town.

Ok but could be better

  • 3 of 5

This property was in an ideal location for exploring. Port issac is lovely. Little sark itself needs a bit of TLC. It was clean and tidy and was nice to arrive to cream tea and a few essentials. We were disappointed with the uncomfortable sofa and chairs. The curtains need looking at as most are missing hooks and are hard to close with out having gaps in. I know you don't go on holidays to watch TV but the weather wasn't good so we did watch it , it really isn't big enough the signal was poor. This property would benefit from having Wifi.

Very lovely.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was very clean and cozy. Within walking distance of the village. I do advise not to take a car into the village as the very narrow. Tea and scones were a nice touch.

What a beautiful place to live and call home.

  • 5 of 5

The vacation of a lifetime. My wife and I arrived to find a cream tea awaiting our arrival. The home was clean and neatly furnished. The location was ideal for exploring the village on foot and the CO-OP store was a short walk away.

The people in the Village of Port Isaac were so friendly. We enjoyed the Fish and Chips at the The Mote Restaurant and also at the Old School House Restaurant. Doc Martin fans will definitely want to visit.

We would recommend this property with a couple recommendations.

1. Repair the window at the top of the stairs so that it closes.

2. Please supply wood for the fireplace. Being "YANKS" from Florida, we would have liked to have had a fire in the evening after a day filled with fantastic memories.

We were so excited to be able to experience life in this quaint little village and have the ability to make day trips to other areas of the country. The countryside is so beautiful and we are so thankful for the opportunity to have been exposed to clotted cream. Delicious.

We would recommend stopping by the Cornish Tea Room across from the Old School House Restaurant. The ladies were so nice and the service was excellent. We had a slice of the homemade Carrot Cake with our coffee. When I went to pay, the card machine was not working. The owner simply said not to worry and I could drop payment in the Post, or if we were in the Village, we could drop it in the mail slot in the door. What lovely people.

We also traveled to Bodmin to the Bodmin steam locomotive railway. It was as if we were on a train from the 1940's that you see on World War II movies and British movies from that era.

If you do nothing else, walk along the coastal path. The views are Postcard perfect and don't forget to have an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck located in the car park on Port Gaverne Road by the Tea Room and the sea.

We will be back in the future. Don't miss out on this gem.

Great location for people with pets

  • 3 of 5

We found this property to be comfortable and a good location with our dog. All the necessities were there. The oven wasn't working so we used the grill to cook...but I'm sure the nice lady who left us the lovely cream tea upon our arrival would have taken care of this but unfortunately we had no signal to ring her. Some lovely views were taken in by us of the Atlantic and Castle Rock. Perhaps kitchen cupboards could be aired out as they smelled musty and place overall very damp, could do with an update and a bit cleaner. Also button to dishwasher kept popping off. Other than those few glitches, it was a nice budget stay with the dog. Very dog friendly area. Many thanks again.

Very comfortable and convenient for Port Isaac.

  • 4 of 5

We were blessed with fabulous weather but that aside the house was very comfortable and clean perfectly placed for staying in Port Issac while still being able to park.

The only thing it lacked (at least I couldn't find one) was a hair drier and wifi is very important for most people in this day and age, especially when there is no phone signal either.
