Le Cosquer has 5 properties. If you want to bring all the family for a get together, we can sleep 30 people in total.
If you just want to come the house's sleep between 5-8 people.
We find that the children make friends in the games room,which is open to everyone and we hold a crepe night in the games room which also has a bar,just in case you run out of wine.
Le Cosquer is situated one mile outside of the village of St Connec, which comprises a church, Mairie and play area, found in all French villages and a bar. Just five miles away is Lake de Guerledan, with sandy beaches and safe bathing for those who do no want the hustle and bustle of sea beaches. Boat trips, water sports, fishing, cycling and walking are all available in this very beautiful area. If you have your own boat, bring it! There are no launch fees and launching is very easy.For all you mad keen fishermen and women out there you will be spoilt for choice in the area around your gite. The area surrounding St Connec has many pretty villages with superb restaurants and churches, and along with the Napoleonic Castle at Pontivy, Bon Repos Abbey, La Forge des Salles, all go towards making this a great area of architectural study. For those who prefer the sea, Carnac, with its long, sandy beaches, the megaliths and the oyster beds, is an easy hour's drive away. The beaches in the North, which don't get so busy, and as the coast is more rocky there are little pools to play in and many shells to be found.

Le Cosquer has been my home for the last 5 years and I just love the slow pace of life.
We brought the beautiful property 5 years ago and I haven't stopped improving it. This year the swimming pool has been refurbished and we are constantly adding things to Le Cosquer to make your holiday enjoyable.

What makes this farmhouse unique
The region is of a similar climate to Cornwall being a littler warmer. Although there are micro climates throughout Brittany and this means the weather can be as hot as Spain in some places.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area including the beaches at Carnac and Binic.
During the summer there are lots of festivals going on throughout the region including the festival at Bon Repos which is outstanding and is over 2 weekends in August.
Just a 10 minute drive away is the Lac de Guerdelan. It is a beautiful lake which has a man made beach which is lovely for young and old. There are many activities in the local area.

4.1miles - Less than 10 minutes in the car to lac du Guerledan, with its safe sandy beaches
The beaches on Lac du Guerledan are sandy, with free parking and are all safe for swimming. In addition there are several boat launching ramps. Three of the beaches off kayak hire, and one of them offers pedalo hire. There are restaurants next to the beach at two locations, and there are toilets at four of the beaches, whilst the largest beach has free showers.

Restaurants in Mur De Bretagne vary from a Michelin Starred French cuisine, to pizzerias, to one run by a retired butcher who specialises in dishes based around the best cuts of meat. There is also the local tourism office here, a bank, supermarket, lots of small shops, and a doctors and a pharmacy.
There is a huge variety of things to do which includes everything from motor-racing and motor museums, carting, water-skiing, water parks, fun parks, walking, cycling (road), mountain biking, horse-riding and fishing.There are huge numbers of historical places to visit, from recreations of gaulish villages (like Asterix the Gaul's), through historic, castles, chateaus, houses and parks, along with art galleries, aquariums and zoos. At a slower pace its possible to search out local artisans, or wander round the old towns, talking in their characterful shops, or just sit at one of the many café and watch the world

We require a 10% deposit at time of booking, and balance of payment 6 weeks before the holiday. We take a security deposit at the same time as the final balance payment.
Saturday departure time 10am.We can be flexible on this but we need to know before hand for cleaning purposes.

- 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
- 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

- Notes on accommodation: Comfortable relaxing holiday accommodation in a traditional Breton house, tastefully renovated to provide character with modern convenience. Open plan ground-floor opens onto the communal courtyard with outside table and chairs for alfresco eating. Heated Pool - available June - Sept First basket of wood supplied free of charge Heating, lighting and bedding included (Please bring your own towels) Well behaved pets welcome. We can put you in touch with a local English speaking vet. (Additional damage deposit required for pets) Outside: We have a large barn which is a games room containing a table tennis table, a small shop and where we have a crepe night once a week. Its a great space for the children to play and meet new friends. We also have a large field for a game of football or any you fancy. The orchard is a great place to sit and read. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen available at £5.00 per bed per week. We do not provide towels.
