Peaceful location 10 minutes drive from Sandbanks beach

We have two self catering holiday homes in Poole, both furnished to a high standard and have been previously rated as 4 Star. This web site shows just one of our two properties.

Both our self catering houses have a double and twin room and can sleep 4, plus a folding bed that can be provided upon request. As our two houses are opposite each other, two families with up to 10 could be accommodated.

Our 4 star rated houses include: Sony 32” wide HD flat screen TV with HD digital Freeview, DVD player, Free WiFi Broadband Internet, leather sofas. Dish washer, washing machine, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and much more see complete list below. Our houses are annual inspected by Bournemouth & Poole Quality Standards.

Child friendly with stair gate, travel cot, high chair and child bed bar also available upon request

Our self catering homes are just yards from the Poole harbour water front with fantastic views of Brownsea Island. Plus just a short walk to the Quay side with its bars and restaurants.

Poole's famous Sandbanks Beach is just a few minutes drive or short bus journey and Bournemouth beaches are also close by. See details of many other local attractions and our Photo Gallery and videos.

Why David King chose Purbeck

Dorset is a lovely county with so much to do and to see. Poole is very central with easy access to so many activities and places to see.

Some of our guests arrive by train which is just 15 minutes walk or a short taxi journey. They can explore the area by public transport with the main bus station just 10 minutes walk away.

This was one of the nicest holidays I have had. The weather was perfect, the accommodation was lovely, clean and ideally situated for everything we wanted. Short walk to Poole Quay which we did every evening. Friendly pubs on front. Themed evenings. Lovely sitting out in the garden having our morning coffee. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. Thank you.

Easy to book, a stones throw from the water front, and within walking distance of the many bars and restaurants of Poole. Very nice, clean property, with all you could need for a trip away from home. Dorset Itself is a beautiful area, with lots of places to go and explore.

Was sad to leave at the end as you don't feel that you're living in a holiday home as it has that homely feel which makes you settle into the place very quickly. Everything is provided (bar towels) and is of a high standard.

Outside: Out the back of our house there is a south facing courtyard where you can park your car and small patio area with table and chairs and a BBQ . In addition to the private parking space there are a number of visitor spaces in the close. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is included and the beds will be made up upon your arrival. Towels can be provided for a small additional charge. The property is cleaned before your arrival.

Clean, Quiet Location close to the beach

We stayed with our young son - house had a chair gate and high chair and plenty of room in the spare room for travel bed. The house its self is clean and in a good location with a short walk to the beach and easy access to the surrounding areas. We would stay again.

Good location for accessing all amenities

We enjoyed our stay in Poole and it was very convenient to have Poole Park so close. The local swimming pool was within easy walking distance and visits to Bournemouth, Swanage and Corfe were easy driving distances.

We did feel, however, that the property could have been a little cleaner in places. We also were under the impression that there was a BBQ at the property but we couldn't find one. Maybe, it was just a BBQ area in the back courtyard! Which was a nice secluded area.

We have communicated since your review and I understand “the house was generally clean just some of the surfaces upstairs were quite dusty especially bedside tables and lamps. I will speak to our cleaners to ensure this does not happen again, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I am sorry about the BBQ not being provided; I had wrongly thought it was too early to put this out. You said you had a lovely holiday and these were only minor issues and they would not stop you using our property again and you would be very welcome. David

Great location; lovely property.

The location of the property was absolutely superb in a quiet residential location! Only minutes walk from marina with lots of pubs, restaurants and shops near by but easy to drive out of Poole to visit other areas. The property was well maintained, clean and spacious. A great location in a lovely part of the world.

Late Summer Holiday with Grandkids

The house was clean and tidy and satisfied all our needs. Having been coming to Poole and Dorset general area for over 50 years ( From a 5 year old child with my parents ) We have stayed all over the Baiter area for 25 years. Location to Quay, Town Centre and Poole Park is ideal with two young children. Being able to park the car within the rear of the property was good as well. Would come again.

Great holiday home in Poole

Fantastic house in a fantastic location in Poole. We had a wonderful holiday, so much to do and see. The location really is ideal and the house was a great base as we explored Poole and the surround areas. I would recommend visiting Sandbanks beach for hot days (10 mins drive from the house), Lulworth Cove and for the colder days visit the Aqua Park in Poole. We will be back!

nice clean house in great location

The house was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Plenty of storage too. The location was perfect for our stay-lovely and quiet yet very close to Poole Park, the harbour and Poole itself. The area seemed very safe which was great when our 2 and a half year old wanted to ride her scooter.
