About Laura Penkethman

We bought this cottage in the heart of Exmoor having fallen in love with beauty of this area and the amazing amount of things to do, whether you are an avid country-love, sportsperson or simply want a quiet, get-away-from it all break. Great love nest for those looking for a romantic hide-away.

Why Laura Penkethman chose West Somerset

We bought this cottage in the heart of Exmoor having fallen in love with beauty of this area and the amazing amount of things to do, whether you are an avid country-love, sportsperson or simply want a quiet, get-away-from it all break. Great love nest for those looking for a romantic hide-away.

What makes this cottage unique

We love popping into nearby Dulverton village with its range of organic and specialist shops to buy wonderful food, or sipping the best cappuccinos at cafes like Tantiveys and eating great food in the restaurants. We love the award winning pub and restaurant, the Royal Oak, at nearby Winsford.

This is a great region for dog lovers and we cater for up to two dogs. Walks out onto the Moor or by the River Exe start from the cottage. We have several we recommend in the holiday Welcome File in the cottage.

If you are an artist or writer we have the Summer house art studio in the garden.

For cyclists we have a cycle store area.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at " The Ramblings" Bridgetown.

The cottage was really cosy and warm with everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside in the garden when the sun was shining and in the evenings it was lovely in the cosy lounge.

The ' Badgers Holt' pub a few steps away does brilliant meals and Bridgetown is an ideal location for discovering Exmoor.
