The lower level has a double bedroom with a brand new en-suite shower room, two twin bedrooms overlooking the pool, an additional brand new shower room, a further cloakroom, a stylish lounge area with satellite TV & DVD player with exterior access to the pool area. The villa is enclosed and gated from the road with a driveway for 2 cars. The rear gardens are private and secure with a good size private swimming pool, pool shower and plenty of poolside furniture. Idyllic holiday Villa

Having been to Es Castell previously we knew this villa was in an ideal location. We were not disappointed . The Villa is exceptional with excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Location is ideal for access to restaurants etc at Cala Fons. We had an amazing holiday as parents with adult children staying over the 2 weeks. We would wholeheartedly recommend this Villa as an ideal holiday location.

Ideal villa in beautiful location

We were a family of 6 adults 2 children and a baby.The villa was big enough to house us all comfortably.The views from the terrace were fabulous and the bbq, pool area was ideal for evening gatherings. The quality of food in restaurants and cafes was excellent also the local shops, delis and bakers.The villa was perfect, well stocked and clean. We would definitely recommend this property.

The perfect villa

We spent a week at this fantastic villa and really did not want to come home.

The villa has everything you could possible want and more, stylishly decorated and plenty of room, we went with three other couples and never felt as if we were in each other's way.

A good supermarket is just down the road and the pretty harbour of Santa Ana is a five minute stroll away with lots of bars, restaurants and shops.

Mahon is a short bus ride away so a car isn't necessary, it's worth a trip there as there are lots of restaurants opposite the harbour and a lovely friendly feel to it.

Booking was so easy.

We will definitely be returning here, only a ten minute taxi ride from the airport and you're ready to start your holiday .

excellent property

I have just come back from a week on menorca at the said property. Everything about the place was excellent. Supplies within the property were plentiful, the grounds around and the swimming pool area. Inside there was enough space to lose yourself. We didnt need to be indoors because the weather was in the 30c's everyday. I would recommend your property to the next person and look forward to one day returning. The Mahon festival was also on for 3 days and is worth seeing.

The location is fantastic being on the doorstep to the beautiful harbour of Calas Fonts with its many restaurants, bars and shops and it is very close to both Mahon and the airport.

Nearest Airport : Mahon at 8 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Calas Fonts at 0.2 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Mahon at 3 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Son Park at 15 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Calas Fonts at 0.02 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Cala Mesquida at 4 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

*Santa Ana is a quiet residential area very close to the old town of Es Castell. It is an ideal location with the traffic free, old fishing port of Cales Fonts on the door step housing a wide selection of harbourside restaurants, bars & cafes.

*Just around the corner is the pretty, small cove of Cala Padera with boardwalk and steps leading down to the water where you can swim in the sea (no sand).

*It is also very convenient for coastal walks & the sandy beaches of Alcaufar, Binibeca, Sa Mesquida and Punta Prima where there is a water park, are all within a 15 minute drive.

*The Fortress of La Mola is on the opposite side of the harbour and is easily accessible by road or water taxi. *The Military Museum is in the town square and the fortress of San Felipe is about a 20 minute walk.

*The Isla del Rey military hospital in the harbour can be visited on Sunday morning by boat at 8.30am, returning at 11.30am from Mahon harbour. There is also many prehistoric sites around the island, the nearest being Trepuco.

*Visit Menorca's highest point at Monte Toro which offers incredible views of the whole island from the historic monastery.

*Visit the Cova d'en Zerioi to watch the beautiful sunset or dance the night away overlooking the sea at Calan Porter.

*If you love the water you can charter a boat, go sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, kayaking and paddle boarding or take a trip from Mahon in a glass bottomed boat.

*If you enjoy cycling, there are tracks and roads ideal for mountain biking and walking, including the 200km Cami de Cavalls which circumnavigates Menorca's beautiful coastline.

Travel:

Mahon airport is only a 12 minute drive away & taxis are easily accessible. The villa is within easy walking distance to Es Castell and Cales Fonts so car hire is not essential. There is a bus service to Mahon where you can pick up connections to travel to other parts of the island. If you don't fancy catching a bus, you can also pick up a water taxi from Cales Fonts to take you into Mahon. However, should you wish to fully appreciate the island at your leisure, then car hire is definitely recommended.

Distances:

The nearest town of Es Castell is a 5 minutes walk from the villa and just around the corner is the beautiful old fishing port of Cales Fonts. The historical centre of Mahon is 2 miles away with many places of interest as well as restaurants, bars, shopping promenades & designer boutiques. Here you can also absorb the myriad of luxury yachts & cruise liners along the mile long port area. Measuring about 30 miles E-W x 12 miles N-S enables the whole of this beautiful island to be explored within a 45 minute drive.

Further Details:

Local shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and banks are easily accessible within a few minutes walk from the villa. Each Monday and Wednesday there is a market in the square in Es Castell and most evenings during the summer months, a selection of lovely craft stalls meander up the steps and around the harbour in Cales Fonts selling hand made jewellery, leather goods and a selection of 'objects d'art.

Our villa sits high above the entrance to the Port of Mahon and we get a lovely breeze on the first floor terrace where you can sit for hours and enjoy watching the array of boats, yachts and the occasional cruise liner come and go. The little cove of Cala Padera is an absolute delight for an early morning swim in the sea and only a stones throw away from the villa.

  • Notes on accommodation: Fast wireless internet connection is also provided Each bathroom has a hairdryer. Cot, high chairs and other baby equipment can be supplied for a supplement Outside: The villa is enclosed and gated from the road & there is a private driveway with space for two cars. The rear gardens are private, gated and secure with a good size private swimming pool (38 sq. metres) which has Roman steps access. The sun terraces around the pool have an outside shower, plenty of shaded areas and a good supply of garden furniture. By the pool there is a BBQ casita which houses a fridge freezer, sink unit and cooking preparation area for Al Fresco dining, next to this is a large table with bench chairs. On the first floor, from the lounge and sun room, doors open on to a large terrace which has been furnished with exterior table and chairs as well as sun awnings. From this terrace there are spectacular harbour views across the mouth of Mahon harbour and on to the fortifications on La Mola. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa will be thoroughly cleaned for your arrival. Bath and hand towels and bed linen is provided. For bookings of two weeks or more, a weekly interim clean and complete change of bed linen and towels is provided. Clients need to bring their own beach towels. Other: On the ground floor there is a lounge room with large l-shaped sofa, Satellite TV and DVD player and direct access to the pool area.
