A beautiful cottage in a beautiful place.

  • 5 of 5

Myself, husband, our friend and our son stayed at Rose Cottage for 10 nights. We had the most wonderful and enjoyable time here. Everything we needed was supplied in the property and Woolpit was a lovely peaceful place. Overall, we couldn't have asked for better. The booking process was made so easy for us and Mick was more than accommodating with helping us out with any requests we had. He was always extremely prompt to reply to us. We will certainly return to Rose Cottage again if we are visiting the area in the future.

Fantastic cottage, great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely little cottage. Beautifully refurbished. All mod cons you need plus much needed wifi if you have kids! We loved sitting in the back patio garden area and Mick and Liz were fantastic hosts. Special thanks as well to John who was next door and gave us great travelling tips. Definitely would recommend this cottage- it is in a great little village and close to Bury St Edmunds and lots more besides. Check out the Swan woolpit for a lovely meal. We will definitely stay in this cottage again

This weekend was a birthday treat for my aunt and her words were, "Lovely company, fantasic food, beautiful cottage in a beautiful location." Everything we needed was in the cottage including all the instructions for the heating, cooker etc. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed which made things so much easier. We didn't need to take towels, tea towels or bedding - all of this was provided and was all beautifully laundered. This was a real home from home. Woolpit is well placed for some great excursions but is equally good if you want to stay locally. We highly recommend the village fish and chip shop (you can leave an order and go back to collect it) and dinner at The Swan, although it is advisable to book if you can. Last but by no means least are the hosts, Liz and Mick. They are very amenable, are easily contactable should you need them but will leave you to enjoy the cottage inprivacy. This cottage is a little oasis in the desert of hectic life. We cannot recommend it highly enough. To Liz and Mick, thank you for letting us stay. We had a fantastic weekend!

First I would like to mention how accommodating the owners mick and Liz were at very short notice! This is a gem of a property in such a beautiful village, it is finished to a very high standard, very well equipped kitchen, such a homely feel throughout! The views from the bedroom windows of the church are picture postcard! I can honestly say I didn't want to leave this cottage,I would highly recommend it and can not wait to visit again, whether you are looking for a relaxing break or wanting to explore a beautiful part of the country this is where I recommend you stay!

Fabulous cottage, beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in this beautiful cottage with my husband, 2 young kids and my brother and his girlfriend. The cottage has been recently renovated so is absolutely immaculate throughout. Loads of room for all 6 of us and we had a great time!

The cottage is so well equipped with everything you could possible want from utensils in the kitchen, tea and coffee for when you first arrive to towels, bedding etc etc what more do I need to say?

The kitchen, opening onto the lovely little yard, has a real

wow factor! My visiting step-mum is re-designing her kitchen and is now having second thoughts after seeing the beautiful cupboards in this kitchen!

Woolpit itself is perfect - pub, fish and chip shop, bakery, coffee/gift shop and grocery shop as well as the eautiful church opposite the cottage. Surrounding area obviously fabulous with amazing coast and lots to do.

Fantastic cottage in a lovely location at great value. Cannot recommend enough! We would love to visit again!

Thanks for a fabulous stay
