The house is well positioned to explore the countryside and beaches of the Lands End Peninsular. The Minack theatre is just 20mins away. Newlyn, Mousehole and Marazion are a short drive from the property.

Newquay airport is 33 miles away and Lands End airport (for flights to the Isles of Scilly) is 9 miles away. The house is a 10 minute walk from Penzance railway station.

Cosy comfortable cottage in Penzance

The cottage is cosy and comfortable and ideally located in the centre of Penzance. Restaurants, pubs and shops are all within a couple of minutes walk, but as the cottage is tucked away and located off a courtyard, it's very quiet (apart from some rather loud seagulls!) The only downside is that to access the parking space, you have to go down a very narrow alleyway, and as people park on the double yellow lines opposite, it's sometimes impossible to turn into the alleyway and very difficult to get out again. However, we did manage to find a space on the roadside leading up to the cottage, so parked there instead. Once inside, the cottage is warm and welcoming. The open plan ground floor is light and spacious and it was great to be able to sit outside in the courtyard in the September sunshine. The double room in the eaves is lovely, with a comfortable bed and nice ensuite bathroom. We cooked in the cottage for a couple of nights, and the kitchen is generally well equipped, although we'd have liked a potato masher! We loved the artwork and decorative bits and pieces and would be very happy to stay again.

Clean, well maintained and very comfortable.

We love a clean, neat and uncluttered property and this was just right for us. Maybe a little more information regarding the locking of the front door and changing the temperature of the heating could be included. Overall, though, it was a fabulous property and we considered it our "home" while in Penzance. Many thanks for sharing your home Linda.

Well equiped, modern, comfortable, quiet, centrally located and ideal for exploring Cornwall.

Overall this was the perfect rental for four of us and I would definitely recommend and book again.

Clean modern decor with two comfortable and spacious en-suite rooms on separate floors offering perfect privacy. Cloak room downstairs means there is no need to run up and down stairs constantly. Although located right in the center of the old town, apart from seagulls, there is no noise at all. The small outside area is ideal for eating al fresco or just sipping drinks.It is also only a few yards from the shops and good eating places (I would recommend Blacks bar and restaurant which also happens to be the closest eatery) as well as a brilliant local butcher, a good deli and some interesting pubs. A short drive out and you have all the major supermarkets and best petrol prices. It's a short walk to the sea and most sights are only a short drive away.

Third time staying

This is the 3rd time that my husband and I have stayed at Chancery Mews. It is like going home. We love the house it's central,modern and the little court yard a little sun trap. The neighbours are very friendly and Mike the "housekeeper" just lives next door. The kitchen is well equipped but due to the number of eateries round and about I don't think the oven or hob gets over used!! This property is a real gem and it still holds the same charm as it did three years ago.
