Situated in a quiet road yet in the centre of Penzance. The restaurants, shops and bars are less than a minute on foot and the seafront is a four minute stroll. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard. Central heating, electricity, cleaning, bed linen and towels included in the price.

Great base to explore Western Cornwall

Great location in walking distance to central Penzance, wonderful Thai restaurant and a good grocery, bakeries, butcher within a block. Entry drive, and streets in general, are pretty tough to negotiate (especially for those used to the other side of the road) so definitely want a small car and not for the faint of heart! Lovely three story modern townhouse, nicely decorated, with nice outdoor space. Pretty little garden in front. Highly recommend!

Third time staying

This is the 3rd time that my husband and I have stayed at Chancery Mews. It is like going home. We love the house it's central,modern and the little court yard a little sun trap. The neighbours are very friendly and Mike the "housekeeper" just lives next door. The kitchen is well equipped but due to the number of eateries round and about I don't think the oven or hob gets over used!! This property is a real gem and it still holds the same charm as it did three years ago.

Beautful house in central of Penzance

This is a very high quality, well furnished and equipped townhouse set over 3 levels with a good view over the bay from the top floor master bedroom. We arrived on a bitterly cold February day and were very pleasantly relieved to find the house toasty warm. After our long journey the bottle of French wine kindly left for us was a lovely additional touch. Mike, the next door housekeeper, is friendly and helpful and keeps the house immaculately clean. The main shopping street (including a supermarket) is a few minutes away along with a good choice of pubs and restaurants. There is a short walk downhill to the front passing by an excellent Indian restaurant where we ate one evening. The 2 bathrooms are very modern and the style of the house is a lovely eclectic blend of french rustic chic and modernity. Although the house is in the centre and of the town it lies in a very quiet location where only the seagulls will occasionally disturb your peace. We loved the little courtyard whch would be perfect for alfresco dining in the warmer months. We had a problem one morning trying to turn into the road from the alley as 2 cars had been illegally parked on double yellow lines opposite the exit. I wonder if the council could put some obstuction there to prevent this happening? As we have family in Penzance (the reason for our visit) we will look to rent this house for future visits. Linda was excellent at communicating with us and very helpful.

Beautiful house. Perfect location.

This house surpassed expectations. Well appointed. Unique touches set it apart from anywhere else we've stayed. Warm, comfortable and well situated. Mike the housekeeper does a fantastic job looking after the house. Close to shops and restaurants but very quiet. Turning into the access road can be tricky if people have

parked opposite the turning, but we soon got the knack. Overall very well equipped though we could find only one saucepan plus a milk pan.

Our booking was dealt with promptly by the friendly owner.

Enjoyed our October week exploring the local area.

The house is well positioned to explore the countryside and beaches of the Lands End Peninsular. The Minack theatre is just 20mins away. Newlyn, Mousehole and Marazion are a short drive from the property.


Newquay airport is 33 miles away and Lands End airport (for flights to the Isles of Scilly) is 9 miles away. The house is a 10 minute walk from Penzance railway station.

Further Details:

The house is surrounded by a wealth of boutiques, pubs, restaurants and galleries. Morrab gardens and Penlee Park are peaceful places to walk to with sub-tropical plants. Newlyn Art Gallery is also only a short flat walk away.
