About sue holman

I am Sue Holman Married with 3 children who all still live and work at home in our family business which is based on the farm. They have all enjoyed growing up in this area and made many friends. As the family are now growing up we decided to convert our unused farm buildings and are completed to a standard that we would be happy to stay at.

sue holman purchased this cottage in 2001

Why sue holman chose North Yorkshire

We were close to this area and knew it quite well. It is in lovely quiet countryside but close to many main attractions and cities. The local area is a great place to fetch up a family

Well appointed and accessible cottage

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage with accessible facilities for my 81 year old mother who is unable to manage stairs. Perfect size for our party (2 adults and 2 children), very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Great location for exploring York, Beverley, the Wolds and the coast. The welcome pack from Sue, including freshly-laid eggs from the Eastfield Farm chickens, was also much appreciated!

We all had a lovely time

  • 5 of 5

Fox cottage was built and decorated to a high standard. It was warm and cosy. Sue was helpful but gave our party the discreet space we wanted. Lovely countryside and we loved the pigs! Appreciated the welcome food basket. Plenty of clean towels. Many thanks.

Excellent cottage in a quiet, peaceful location.

  • 5 of 5

A warm welcome to an excellent cottage that had everything. A great deal of thought has gone into equipping the cottage with everything you want and need for a family.

Comfortable and clean

  • 4 of 5

Although not the most picturesque of locations, the cottage was comfortable and clean enough for six of us, although a 16-year-old and the 8-year-old were slightly squished in the sofa bed. The cottage is well equipped and nicely furnished. There were a few bits in the fridge for us on arrival and some homemade cupcakes - thank you, Sue!

Enjoyable stay in Yorkshire countryside

  • 5 of 5

We had 3 days at Eastfield Farm which was in good distance to explore the city of York or the North Yorkshire moors. The cottage had everything needed for a family of five. It was a pity that we couldn't have stayed longer.
