We would like to welcome you to our charming, south facing, cosy cottage in St Fraimbault. Built from local stone the cottage is over 100+ years old. There are 2 doors on the photo, one is to the barn and one to the house. Although the house is described as cosy it is quite spacious and airy.
Outside there is parking for 3 cars, a patio area and a garden to the side of the property.

The cottage is open plan, lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lounge has a log burner with free view TV and the kitchen is fitted with oven/grill, microwave, gas hob and free standing fridge/freezer. Upstairs is a double bedroom with en-suite, window overlooking the fields down to a valley. Downstairs shower room and separate toilet.
The south facing courtyard has table, chairs, loungers and BBQ.
St Fraimbault is a lovely, quaint, 4* award winning flowery village with lake, pedalos, tennis courts, woodland picnic area,crazy golf, restaurant, bar, bread shop, mini market, all within walking distance of the cottage which is just outside the village.
Within a short drive is the medieval town of Domfront with its many shops, supermarkets along with local restaurants and historical points of interests.
There is plenty to do in the area. Kayaking and canoeing is a few minutes away and is a fantastic experience, take a picnic and sit at the side of the river and enjoy. There are a number of restaurants within a short drive or walk away. Or you could just chill out at Montgermont Cottage with a glass of wine, local cheeses and a French Baguette.
Perfect place to relax. Contents not typical of rental properties. Home from home. We are already booked for later in the year as we felt the house had a heart and soul and want to return.
A little gem,so clean,comfortable and very well equipped not your usual holiday let,we loved our stay there and would recommend it to anyone,the peace and quiet was unbelievable,we didn't want to leave.
Was welcomed by the property manageress,directions to the house were very accurate as we had not been to France before. It was just as we had hoped for a beautiful well equipped cottage set in the countryside , but walking distance to the local Pub ,Restaurant, or Shop, have already recommended it to my family for a relaxing break , and we will definitely be going back .
The cottage is in a great location for sightseeing, touring, activities, or just relaxing. The private garden is surrounded by fields meadows and trees.
SAINT FRAIMBAULT
The award winning flower village, is just a short walk away. The village has Tennis Courts, Boules Pitch, Fishing, Lake, Pedalos, Shops, Bars, Crazy Golf, and of course the beautiful flowers that makes it a winner. There is a beautiful lake surrounded by trees plants and flowers.

2km A beautiful natural area next to the river. Great for Kyaking and other water sports.
Bagnoles de L'Orne,
The famous spar town with golf and casino, open air swimming pool Forest walks.
Flers, with water sports, ten pin bowling, shops supermarkets etc. All within a short distance.
Bayeux
Built around the magnificent Cathedral of Notre-Dame and is home to the 200-foot long Bayeux Tapestry, a world famous masterpiece whose cartoon like scenes depict the epic tale of William the Conqueror's expedition to England. Visit Falaise and the castle of the first Norman King of England, born 1027 in Falaise and died 9th September 1087, He is buried in the Abbey of St. Stephen in Caen.
DOMFRONT
The medieval town of Domfront with narrow streets and castle ruins dates back to the 11 century and was originally one of Frances strongholds, The castle grounds overlook the Varenne Vally and River. Narrow cobbled shopping streets leading to the church opposite the oldest bar and the square take you right back in time. Settle down and watch the world pass-by whilst enjoying an aperitif outside the bar in the square. Visit the castle ruins from which there are wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area. Friday is Market Day.
Domfront has many fantastic restaurants, pizza houses and bars, where a warm welcome is assured from the locals. There is paintballing, go karting, rock climbing, kyaking, walking and cycle routes all within easy reach.
Whilst the Domfront area offers a wealth of historic, cultural and gastronomic experiences as well as sporting and leisure activities catering for all age groups, it remains unspoilt.
MONT ST MICHEL
One of the marvel of the Western World, was founded over 1300 years and is France's second most visited tourist attraction after the Eiffel Tower and also has the highest tides on the continent a delight to see day or night.

Coast/Beach
La Ferte Mace 20 mins away, has its own man made beach with sand, climbing frames, volleyball net and is a great day out with a picnic or eat at the Cafe. The natural coast, Granville Carolles, etc, is about an hours drive away to the west. Sit and picnic on the beach with Mont St Michele in the background. Dine out on fresh 'fruits de mere'.
