About the property

Stone Cottage, Log Fire,St Fraimbault, Medieval City Domfront. - Beautiful, Country Retreat, Surrounded By Fields Close To Medival City Of Domfront

We would like to welcome you to our charming, south facing, cosy cottage in St Fraimbault. Built from local stone the cottage is over 100+ years old. There are 2 doors on the photo, one is to the barn and one to the house. Although the house is described as cosy it is quite spacious and airy.

Outside there is parking for 3 cars, a patio area and a garden to the side of the property.

The garden looks over the fields and meadows

The cottage is open plan, lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lounge has a log burner with free view TV and the kitchen is fitted with oven/grill, microwave, gas hob and free standing fridge/freezer. Upstairs is a double bedroom with en-suite, window overlooking the fields down to a valley. Downstairs shower room and separate toilet.

The south facing courtyard has table, chairs, loungers and BBQ.

St Fraimbault is a lovely, quaint, 4* award winning flowery village with lake, pedalos, tennis courts, woodland picnic area, crazy golf, restaurant, bar, bread shop, mini market, all within walking distance of the cottage which is just outside the village.

Within a short drive is the medieval town of Domfront with its many shops, supermarkets along with local restaurants and historical points of interests.

There is plenty to do in the area. Kayaking and canoeing is a few minutes away and is a fantastic experience, take a picnic and sit at the side of the river and enjoy. There are a number of restaurants within a short drive or walk away. Or you could just chill out at Montgermont Cottage with a glass of wine, local cheeses and a French Baguette.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Perfect place to relax. Contents not typical of rental properties. Home from home. We are already booked for later in the year as we felt the house had a heart and soul and want to return.

Countryside Bliss

  • 5 of 5

Was welcomed by the property manageress, directions to the house were very accurate as we had not been to France before. It was just as we had hoped for a beautiful well equipped cottage set in the countryside , but walking distance to the local Pub ,Restaurant, or Shop, have already recommended it to my family for a relaxing break , and we will definitely be going back .
