Barn in Combefishacre, Nr Ipplepen, South Devon, England - Stunning Countryside Location, Between Dartmoor And The Beach

The Bunny Barn is a beautiful Grade 11 listed medieval barn, located in the small hamlet of Combefishacre, which dates back to the Domesday Book.

The Bunny Barn lies midway between the beautiful medieval town of Totnes; with its Elizabethan market and Mott and Bailey Castle, and Newton Abbot, famous for horse racing.

Close to both Berry Pomeroy and Compton Castles, it is only 5 miles to Dartmoor National Park and less than 5 miles from the beautiful beaches of Torbay - The English Riviera.

Combefishacre is particularly rich in local wildlife. There are Little Owls, Tawny Owls and Barn Owls, Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Herons and Egrets are a regular sight in the sky and we have recently had an Otter playing in the stream. There are also Hares, Weasels, Foxes, Deer and Badgers and Swallows, House Martins and bats fly over the courtyard in summer,

Ipplepen is the nearest village and is 1 mile away, This village is the infamous home of the Baskervilles, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is known to have stayed here and from the area wrote his most famous novel "The Hound Of The Baskervilles". The Village has a traditional pub with restaurant. There is a village shop, Post Office, Golf Club, Health Club, Equestrian Centre and a large Garden Centre with Coffee Shop.

The surrounding area abounds with traditional and contemporary pubs and restaurants all serving great local food.

The Bunny Barn is available for short breaks of 2 days or more or longer stays.

About Gail Cooke

I moved to Devon 11 years ago with my husband, Roger. We have grown to love this wonderful part of the world and Combefishacre in particular.

We have thoroughly explored the area by foot, boat, train and car and are still overwhelmed by the beauty of the countryside and the wildlife living here.

A deposit of 25% of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than 6 weeks before the start of the rental. The balance shall be payable 4 weeks before the commencement of the rental. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the commencement of the rental the total fee is payable immediately. Payment may be made by cheque or bank transfer.
Holiday insurance is not included and you are advised to take out separate cover.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday during the Summer Season.

Short Breaks:
Short breaks are available from September to Mid July and are completely flexible.

Arrival time is from 3pm and departure is by 10.30am.

Notes on prices:
Rental includes linen and towels, electricity, heating and initial kindling, logs & fire-lighters for log burning stove in lounge.
