Very comfortable, warm house with plenty of room.

  • 4 of 5

This house worked very well for us as we needed lots of space to have family stay for our son's wedding. First impressions were very good, however we think one or two things need addressing for this place to be top notch. The carpets need cleaning or replacing, they were very stained. The shower in the master bedroom was hard to use as it is fixed in a very high position. Also it wouldn't turn off properly so it constantly dripped. There seems to be a fly problem n the bedrooms. Whenever we opened the bedroom windows there were masses of flies breeding in the window sills. The kitchen facilities need upgrading. There was a useless potato peeler, no kitchen scissors and of the three frying pans only one was usable the other two were totally rusted. The pots and pans and casserole dishes generally need an upgrade. When we arrived after a day's journey from Spain, we started to cook dinner and found not a grain of salt in the cupboards. There were various bits of food left over by previous renters but no salt. I think that for the price we were paying, standard things like salt, pepper and olive oil should be provided? The kitchen bench was wooden and had lost its protective surface. It always felt dirty and was difficult to clean. Finally, there was no full length mirror anywhere in the house which made it frustrating for the ladies getting ready for the wedding. Apart from these niggles we enjoyed our stay here but in the circumstances felt that it was overpriced.

Owner's Response: We are grateful for the feedback and we have repaired the shower and replenished kitchen items as mentioned and will install a full length mirror. The house keeping staff take pride in preparing the house for our guests and arrange for steam cleaning of the carpets and sofas at regular intervals and the kitchen bench is oiled and polished for each new arrival.

Warm and homely

  • 5 of 5

We booked our Christmas family gathering this year at Peewit House and found it to be very lovely indeed. The house was well presented, clean and spacious enough for our party of 10 adults and 2 babies.

The owners had supplied a good size Christmas tree and other decorations to compliment the houses warm and cozy feel.

The location is quiet, approx 5 mins drive outside Moreton-in-Marsh, and you're within a 15 min drive of several other beautiful towns, country pubs and walks.

Kathleen was very approachable and helpful throughout the booking process and I would highly recommend a stay.

Beautiful, comfortable and cosy house.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week at the house and enjoyed every minute. The house was large but cosy and in the perfect setting. The description of the house was accurate and I would recommend the property to anyone looking for accomodation for a large party. The owner was very helpful.
