Woodmanwray Chapel is a newly converted former chapel. Originally built in 1839, it now provides stylish and comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people in a peaceful location in beautiful Nidderdale. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and downstairs there is a large open plan living area with a double sofa bed, dining area and comfortable seating. The kitchen and utility rooms are separate and well equipped. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. The Chapel has been thoughtfully furnished to create a home from home whatever the time of year. It is well insulated with underfloor heating and a log burning stove, for cosy evenings whatever the weather. There is plenty of enclosed outdoor space for ball games and picnics and room to park several cars. Secure storage for bikes is available in a locked bike shed. Nidderdale is a quiet and attractive base for walking and cycling holidays, yet it is only a short car ride from Harrogate with its many amenities. Excellent food shops and restaurants are within easy reach in Pateley Bridge and there are several local pubs within a 10 minute drive.

My name is Alison Simpson and I live with my family on a neighbouring farm. If you come to Woodmanwray Chapel you will probably meet some of our farm animals! We will certainly bring you some of our eggs.

We are really proud of the Chapel and hope that all of our visitors will love it as much as we do.

We think you will find that Nidderdale is a great place to visit.

The chapel is a lovely, characterful conversion, in a beautiful, tucked away location.

We travelled from Devon to spend Christmas in Yorkshire with family. The chapel proved to be the perfect country location.

Beautifully converted, the chapel was warm, comfortable and offered all the facilities we needed. The lovely log burner was added to the atmosphere.

Stunning!

We were absolutely blown away with the converted chapel when we arrived. The views are amazing. It's a peaceful little sanctuary for the perfect chill out get away. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. I would highly recommend it!

We enjoyed a much needed long weekend at this beautifully converted chapel.

It has been renovated to an extremely high standard & the owners should feel very proud. Alison was a pleasure to deal with. All the little details & stunning countryside location made for the perfect getaway & we hope to return.

Relaxing post wedding break

What a gem ! This place is beautifully renovated to a 5* standard and in a perfect place. We slept like babies in the comfy bed and the surrounding silence of the countryside was much sought after. Owners are also lovely to deal with and left all basics which was very welcome after a hectic weekend and no time to shop for breakfast. Shall definitely be back.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a lovely 4 night stay with our 10yr old daughter for February half term. Couldn't fault the cottage which had been renovated to a high standard, very spacious with lovely furniture. Nice location with lots of places nearby to visit. The cottage is very well equipped, pleanty of logs, very comfy beds, loads of towels, games books & DVDs & a great welcome pack. We definitely plan to return.

Pateley Bridge 3.5 miles. Harrogate 13 miles. Ripon 14 miles. National Trust Brimham Rocks 4 miles.

Further Details:

Excellent local food shops and a good Italian restaurant in Pateley Bridge. Convenience store in Summerbridge open until late. All major supermarkets deliver too! Several pubs serving food within a 10 minute drive.

Cycle and walking routes from the door. NT sites at Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey. RHS Harlow Carr gardens near Harrogate.

Caves at Stumps Cross (near Greenhow), Countryside trail for children at Studfold (near Pateley Bridge) and How Stean Gorge in the same area.

Ripley Castle and safe bike trails for children at Ripley.

Indoor swimming pool at Pateley Bridge. Cinemas in Harrogate and Ripon. Theatres in Harrogate and Pateley Bridge.
