House in Par, St Austell, Cornwall, England - 10 Min Walk To Beach

Lovely spacious detached family home. Large garden, close to the Eden Project, close to beaches and The lost gardens of Heligan.

This home has Dishwasher, Auto-Dispensing Washing machine, Double Oven, Large Warming Draw, Large Combination Convection/Microwave Oven, Large Fridge and Large Freezer.

Separate lounge, Separate Dining Room, Day room attached to the Kitchen and Lovely wooden conservatory.

We have 5 large bedrooms, one having twin beds and one that has a zip and link so can either be set up as 2 full size singles or a super king... Obviously advise before arriving ha ha ha ha ha

Dogs are accepted on request only but we insist that they do not go upstairs or use the furniture and are not left alone in the property...If you really cannot take them with you then they can be left in the utility room only if they are not scratchers and chewers! We charge a flat fee of £25 per dog....sorry no cats.

We've built another nearby, so we will be usually be on hand if required.

If you are looking for a warm and relaxing home to get away from it all then this is the one. If you want to get away with extended family then this is the place, enough room to be close yet comfortable.

Hi Paul and Yvette, Sorry for the late review, as i thought i had sent one, must have done something wrong.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a truly wonderful stay in your magnificent house.

Your property was far and away above my expectations, with so much room for our party of seven plus dog .

We hope we left your home in the same condition as when we arrived.

Now for an honest review -

Upon arrival of the property we were amazed at the size of the house, it looked bigger than in the photos, once inside wow!

All the rooms were of great proportions, the kitchen is large and very practical with appliances galore including dishwasher, fancy

microwave, built in fridge and freezer basically everything you need, the cream teas were a nice touch Thank you. The utility room also included a self dispensing washing machine and is a great room for housing the dog cage. To finish downstairs their is a large conservatory with lovely views over the local countryside, a dining room off the kitchen with large family dinning table and finally a comfortable lounge with sofas and smart t.v etc etc.

Upstairs continues with the same wow factor, with four double bedrooms, two with large en-suits and one bedroom with two singles.

To finish off upstairs there is a large family bathroom including roll top bath and shower enclosure.

The garden is huge, with decking area accessed from the utility including rattan dinning table and chairs, my only negative comment would be that the garden is unsecured, so dog owners be mindful.

Par is a very good base for exploring the beautiful county of Cornwall. It has a chip shop, Chinese take away, Italian restaurant with views over the bay and the Ship Inn also deserves a mention with some great special boards, their are also convenient stores within easy reach. The Market every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesdays is worth a visit and is only 5 minutes away by car.

Our family feel very privileged to have holidayed at this lovely large property and we would highly recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Perfect house for a family holiday

We were a group of 5 adults and the house was perfect for us. The property is very well equipped and maintained with plenty of space for everyone to relax either as a group or in a quiet corner and the garden is massive too. The weather was not ideal for our stay but it is well located within easy reach of many attractions both indoor and out and is close to shops and several pubs. The Eden Project was one of the highlights. The cream tea provided by Paul was a lovely extra touch.We would definitely recommend the house to any group.

Fantastic holiday house

Fantastic house for family get together, stayed for one week in April and loved it, everyone had a great time. The garden is huge and kept the grandchildren occupied playing hide and seek. Would highly recommend and go back for another stay. Jim

A beautiful house and a lovely stay.

Our extended family of ten adults, two children and Flash the dog, had a brilliant few days in Par. Uplands House was beautiful and very well equipped with everything we could possibly want. The garden was superb and very exciting for the children. The local beaches, cafes and restaurants were very good value and Paul was extremely helpful and responsive from the beginning.

Top Class Uplands House

We travelled to Cornwall for our daughters wedding at the Eden Project on March 31st. 2017. We found Uplands House to be excellent, there was plenty of equipment for the family and loads of space. The instructions and guidance notes were very helpful. Just a couple of things to consider- instructions for recycling(we didn't know how to go about this) and towel hooks for the main bathroom. Other than that there was plenty of room for our family. The Sonos sound units were great, there was plenty of parking space, great kitchen and dining area. Communication with Paul, the owner was easy via the HomeAway app.

We only visited Par Beach on our last day and found it stunning. Also Carlyon Bay and Charlestown were well worth a visit.

All in all a great stay in a great house!

Beautiful house in a convenient location for south Cornwall

We had a wonderful stay in Par at Uplands house. We have family in Fowey so this was a convenient location in which to base ourselves to visit and also enjoy our week in Cornwall.

The house is well appointed and the owners did a lot to make us feel welcome, providing everything we would need for our stay.
