House in Par, St Austell, Cornwall, England - 10 Min Walk To Beach

Lovely spacious detached family home. Large garden, close to the Eden Project, close to beaches and The lost gardens of Heligan.

This home has Dishwasher, Auto-Dispensing Washing machine, Double Oven, Large Warming Draw, Large Combination Convection/Microwave Oven, Large Fridge and Large Freezer.

Separate lounge, Separate Dining Room, Day room attached to the Kitchen and Lovely wooden conservatory.

We have 5 large bedrooms, one having twin beds and one that has a zip and link so can either be set up as 2 full size singles or a super king... Obviously advise before arriving ha ha ha ha ha

Dogs are accepted on request only but we insist that they do not go upstairs or use the furniture and are not left alone in the property...If you really cannot take them with you then they can be left in the utility room only if they are not scratchers and chewers! We charge a flat fee of £25 per dog....sorry no cats.

Fantastic Uplands House

The property was absolutely ideal for our party, there are plenty of rooms if you don't want to mix with everyone and do your own thing. Everything that we needed was there and the sofas were very comfortable along with the beds. My granddaughter couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the dolls houses in the twin room. We also appreciated the owners, Paul and Yvette, leaving a welcome pack of a cream tea and a bottle of Prosecco. The property is also ideally located for day trips and I would recommend taking your children to Kidzworld which is only a 10 minute car ride away. In the summer months you could enjoy the garden and patio which unfortunately for us we weren't able as October isn't ideal for alfresco. I can't fault anything about the property or the owners, we all had a fantastic time.

Ideal house for a large family gathering

The house was ideal for a large family gathering. We needed all five bedrooms and the property was also able to accommodate our small dog. The house is modern, well equiped and is set in a large attractive garden. Everything was clean and well maintained. The only problems we had were that a couple of the bedrooms would have benefitted from a bit more wardrobe hanging space and some of the sash windows were very stiff to open. Access is via an unadopted road up a short but steep hill from the village of Par. Par itself is a convenient rather than beautiful location with excellent bus, rail and road connections and good shops and supermarkets in nearby St Austell. East of Par the coastal footpath from Polkerris (2 good pub/restaurants) to Fowey is lovely. To the west Charlestown is a fascinating historic port with a couple of good pubs. The Eden Project and the excellent Lost Gardens of Heligan are both a short drive away. We would certainly recommend this property as ideal for a large family or group.

A great Cornish holiday for the Jones family

This was our 1st family get together, our ages ranging from 4 to 74.The house was as wonderful as described,offering us so much space both inside and out to either retreat or mix.Its perfect central location provided places of interest for all of us.Paul was readily available should we need help and provided a very generous welcome pack.Our cornish holiday was perfect,thanks mainly to this lovely house.

Spacious property, suitable for large families..

Our group consisted of 6 adults, 4 children plus dogs. We were looking for somewhere we could all stay together but still have our own space and this house was perfect for us.

It was very clean and tidy, yet still homely. We were very impressed with the sheer size of the house and the quality of the furnishings and appliances.

We used the house as a base and visited Fowey, St Ives, Padstow, Sennen and Charlestown from there. When we got 'home' in the evenings, we mainly congregated in the kitchen/ family room/conservatory/dining room area where we cooked, ate and enjoyed the great sound system! As a result, we we barely used the large lounge but it was nice to have the option.

If you are taking dogs, you should be aware that the garden isn't secure but it is huge.

Paul and Yvette were helpful and relaxed - the welcome pack (wine and cream tea) was appreciated.

We walked the dogs on Par Beach in the mornings as it was one of the few that allowed dogs in Summer but didn't spent much time in Par otherwise. Fowey is beautiful - Readymoney beach is also gorgeous. The children really enjoyed surfing at St Ives and Sennen. They also liked the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre in Charlestown.

I would definitely book this property again.

Great Base for a family holiday ...

What a great week we had at this wonderful property. We were a family of 7 adults and three children coming together for a week of quality time together. So much space - my two granddaughters 9 and 6 loved their bedroom with the dolls houses and pretty decor. All rooms in the house were so spacious, the kitchen offering all you would need. Some lovely times spent around the dinner table and also evenings in the conservatory. Such lovely grounds, very peaceful. Thank you Paul and Yvette for our welcome Cream Tea and wine. Also for going the extra mile when we needed it very much appreciated. Hope to return in the future.

Absolutely fantastic House

We were a party of four on a walking holiday and used the house as a base from which to walk from. The facilities are well above average, all the rooms are spacious and the large kitchen is well stocked. All the beds were comfortable and the rooms warm. There is a lovely conservatory where G&T's were taken at the end of each walk. Just down the road is a great greengrocers with fresh veg and fresh fish that is well worth a visit. Would definitely come again.

My wife and I built this, it's a wonderfully spacious, light and airy family home. We've built another nearby, so we will be usually be on hand if required. If you are looking for a warm and relaxing home to get away from it all then this is the one. If you want to get away with extended family then this is the place, enough room to be close yet comfortable.
