"Lambs Barn", a lovely detached barn conversion located in pretty Talskiddy hamlet, with St Columb Major town and its shops, cafes and restaurants 2 miles away. Only 3 miles from the beautiful beach at Mawgan Porth and 8 miles from both Watergate Bay and Newquay, North Cornwall. Padstow 7 miles. A quiet country location, one of a few old character cottages on what was once Talskiddy Farm, at the end of a short driveway. A few minutes stroll to the village ‘Duck Pond’ and can continue a pleasant walk down to a little ford over the tiny stream on the edge of the village. Nearby St Columb Major town has pubs, shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage is detached (one corner just touches adjoining cottage) situated at the top of a short shared driveway. There are patio doors from kitchen/utility room onto the small rear garden (garden furniture) with lawn, shrubs and flowers-really pretty in the summer. 1 dog welcome. The cottage has a front courtyard with table and chairs, a pleasant setting in which to enjoy a meal , with parking space in the courtyard for 3 cars. A great location being only 10 miles from Padstow and 8 miles to Newquay, ideally positioned for exploring this stretch of coastline with probably the best beaches in Cornwall. St Austell on the opposite coast is only 14 miles.

Bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs, with lounge/diner and kitchen upstairs- so as to enjoy the views. Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed. Double sofa bed in lounge/diner. Lounge/diner with T.V. & DVD. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Utility room leading from kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer and patio doors onto rear garden. Bathroom with bath, overhead shower and toilet.

Linen inclusive. Central heating inclusive. £1 electric meter.

Parking in Lamb Barn's front courtyard for 3 cars. 1 dog welcome but must be kept under control whilst in rear garden – also field at end of driveway to run the dog.

A beautiful character cottage is a quiet country setting in a tiny village. Ideally situated between Newquay and Padstow for Cornwall's premier beaches and spectacular stretch of coastline. Near Cornwall's top tourist attraction, The Camel Trail cycle trail from Wadebridge to Padstow (cycle hire at both towns). Padstow is great for boat trips fishing from Padstow harbour. There are some lovely historic houses in the area. Some are privately owned and some are National Trust. The nearest are Lanhydrock and Trerice.

Famous Watergate Bay, home of Jamie Olivers restaurant (overlooking the beach) enjoys 2 miles stretch of glorious sandy beach. Watergate Bay is 4 miles north of Newquay, Cornwall. This stretch of beaches from Padstow to Watergate Bay are usually considered some of the finest, if not the best, in Cornwall, the beaches backed by stunning cliffs. Watergate Bay is a great favourite for those wishing to avoid the busier Newquay and is popular with surfers. During August the main beach (Lifeguards) area may be busy although you will find the beach quiet a few minutes further walk. Watergate Bay has excellent parking facilities with toilet facilities and a shower facility. Bistro with a bar and upstairs restaurant.Try the excellent food on offer at the Watergate Bay Hotel. Also a takeaway. Cafe and a surf shop (surf hire of wetsuits and boards- when last we enquired). Many visitors to Watergate Bay take advantage of the coastal footpaths. A few miles south of Watergate Bay is tiny Porth village with its classic sandy beach. Porth is worth a visit, has a large Car Park - drop into the Mermaid Inn (excellent food, large indoor and large indoor and outdoor seating areas) - free parking in their own car park at the rear of the Inn if you are a patron of the Inn. Porth has a few other eating places such as the Sea Horse cafe and takeaway.
