Tyne Hill Cottage, is a luxury boutique style cottage. If you book the cottage the owner will be in residence.
Tyne Hill Barn and cottage can only be booked as a whole, or the cottage only can be booked, when the main barn is occupied by the owners. It can never be booked by two different sets of guests at the same time. The barn and cottage are situated in a stunning location, perfect for exploring the Cotswolds, Oxford and Stratford Upon Avon. The luxury barn benefits from a sheltered contemporary courtyard with pool area, both the cottage and the main barn open out onto the courtyard, so it creates a wonderful family space. There is a tennis court with viewing gallery, a stable block and riding menage. Inside, the property is both stunning and homely. Together with the beautifully maintained outdoor space is a great place to relax.
We really enjoy welcoming guests to Tyne Hill, we hope they enjoy there stay as much as we have loved developing the property over the last 23 years.
Julie Daniells purchased this barn in 1992
We bought the property because of the amazing views, and the feeling of privacy, we have landscaped the gardens ourselves from nothing , the modern courtyard to the wild flower meadow, to the hundreds of trees and bulbs we planted. It changes with the season, with lovely Autumn colour, cottage garden flowers, to modern Box hedging in the courtyard.
There are very few properties of this size that benefit from both a pool and tennis court, also the lovely grounds, and fabulous access to lovely tourist attractions and National Trust Properties.
"We have stayed in lots of high quality properties and this rates amongst the very highest of them".
"The property was constructed to a very high standard. Fixtures and fittings again of a very high standard. The gardens were beautiful and very safe for our children to run around in. The property owner was fantastic. She was very accommodating and made us feel very, very welcome. We'll be booking again for next year".
"Beautifully furnished yet cosy and comfortable".

We had a wonderful Easter break at Tyne Hill cottage. The cottage itself was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Julie and her family were so helpful and spent lots of time with our children (8 & 6) explaining how they look after their horses. Julie's homemade cake was delicious (we had to fight over the last slice!). The setting is lovely and very peaceful and a treat to have use of the private tennis court.
There is so much to do in the local area whatever your interests. Among the places we visited were;
Warwick Castle - worth a visit but very expensive if you buy tickets on the day. Definitely worth advance planning to track down discount vouchers.
Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park - very well run family farm experience, lots to do for younger children.
Turpins Lodge Riding School - lovely little riding school with great teachers
Our stay at Tyne Hill was the highlight of the Easter holidays for our children. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic break at Tyne Hill Barn, it really exceeded all our expectations for our first family holiday with our 5 month old daughter.
Julie made us feel totally welcome and was on hand when we needed some more logs for the log burner. The homemade cake was delicious too!
Julie has thought of everything to make it a home from home with little touches of luxury, from the toiletries to the towels and bed linen.
The location is great, there are lots of pretty villages nearby to visit and we would highly recommend a trip to Stratford Upon Avon and also to Blenheim Palace.
We hope to be able to return in the warmer months to make use of the pool too!!
We went away for a relaxing break in the countryside and that's exactly what we got. Everything at the cottage was perfect and every little detail was thought of - even down to the welcome cake! The rooms were immaculately clean and tidy, the bathrooms were spacious and we loved making wood fires in the log burner. Julie was a very attentive host and we knew that if we had any problems she was just the other side of the courtyard. We would wholeheartedly recommend the cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxury break in a beautiful setting!
We had a wonderful stay and the owner couldn't have been more helpful - a delicious cake on arrival and a bottle of wine to keep us going, great recommendations of where to go for a meal and to explore, including a butcher that did lovely pies and sausage rolls to bring home and eat in front of the cosy fire.
The property is set in beautiful countryside with a gorgeous view, and is well equipped - beautiful and comfortable - amazing beds too!
All in all, couldn't recommend more highly and hope to go back!
