It's only a short walk to the centre of the village, shop, play park and pub and has easy access to London (high speed link from Ashford international). About Sarah Goodchild

My Name is Sarah and I live at the adjacent property with my husband and 3 children, 2 dogs and a cat . We moved from London 10 years ago to enjoy the beauty of rural Kent. I run a business from home photographing families and children, and have a photographic studio next to the house.

We love living in the countryside and loads of chickens and a large vegetable patch..

There are usually fresh eggs available and depending on the season, some fresh organic veg as well!

We are always here to help with anything you need and are happy to offer any information on local tourist resort and restaurants.

Notes on accommodation: Compact but well organized accommodation with everything needed for a great holiday. Outside: Balcony, Large Garden, outdoor furniture, Beautiful Gypsy caravan playhouse (a wow with any small child and adults alike!) barbeque, fire Pit. The property sits in the grounds of the owners house however garden is divided by shrubbery and is not overlooked by neighbours and 1/3 of an acre around the chalet is for sole use of the residents Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are provided. Cosy Chalet on Beautiful well kept garden

Had a fantastic two nights here recently. Very attentive and helpful owners.

Chalet has everything you would need for a short trip away from home.

I would highly recommend this accomodation

And would most certainly recommend to my friends if ever in this part of the country.

Really cute little chalet with private garden space and lovely views in a great location

We recently stayed at the chalet for a few nights and had a really great time. Although it's small we had everything we needed and the setting is just lovely. You have great views when you look over the adjoining field, we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. We ate out one night at the nearby pub, which was really nice and they accommodated my youngest who is disabled, pureeing her food for her so she got to have food from the menu. Would also recommend the local shop in the village. We bought some amazing meat there, also lovely local honey, beer and bread. 10 minute drive to Dymchurch beach and the safari park Port Lymne was nearby, which we'd never even heard of before, but had a great day out there. The owners were really accommodating and gave us fresh eggs and veg from their garden on our arrival, a nice surprise! We would definitely go back, a lovely little retreat from the world :-)

Perfect garden & Lovely locatiom

We had a great time. Sarah is very welcoming, the garden is fab especially the BBQ and the play house, and all the open space. The property has everything you need and is in easy reach from loads of great towns and beaches. The only negative is the pull out bed. The property or the bed (we weren't sure which) are on a slight slop which creates an unwelcome head rush when you get into bed!

However this didn't matter too much when everything else made for a fab hol.

Beautiful peaceful location

We felt comfortable and relaxed in this chalet. We enjoyed the local woodland walk, the views, the privacy, the friendly hosts, using the fire pit and the proximity (4 miles as the crow flies) to the local beach at Dymchurch.

Great for walking/ hiking, Property is located on the famous hiking route the Saxon shore way and within walking distance of the Royal military Canal.

Great for nature lovers. Property is located within a 1 minute walk of the beautiful managed woodland at Poulton wood which is covered with bluebells in springtime. Also 12 miles from Dungeness and the RSPB wildlife reserve .


South East Kent has many stunning beaches. The property is 4.5 miles to Dymchurch and St Marys bay beaches and 13 miles from the beautiful beaches at Camber sands.
