Our unit is not directly overlooking the beach but offers a glimpse of the ocean at lower prices.
Once you have watched the sun go down on the beach take a short stroll to the numerous bars and restaurants right on your doorstep on Gulf Boulevard.
This is a small development of 7 condos, our condo is located towards the back of the development and has a partial sea view [check out the photos to see the location and view].
If you want to cook at home, the kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including - microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, stove, icemaker and food disposal. There are plenty of dishes, glasses and assorted cutlery along with all small appliances - coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc.
The perfect home-from-home, the condo has a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board so that guests can wash their own belongings, and look their best.
We live in South East London, with our two cats Taz and Bailey. Linda is the head teacher of a large primary school, and Steve is a freelance marketing consultant. This flexibility, plus the school holidays, allows us to visit our properties regularly and make sure that they remain in excellent condition. We treat our properties like our own home - so you can guarantee that everything is working properly, is well maintained and very clean.
Linda Miller purchased this condo in 2014
Both of us were born and raised by the sea, so we had always dreamed of owning a condo by the beach for the ultimate 'Florida gulf experience' - both for ourselves and our guests.
Indian Rocks offers the perfect mix of bars, restaurants and attractions without being too 'over the top'. There is a real ambience to the place, and the locals are genuinely courteous, but with a laid-back manner. Spring break can up the tempo, but on the whole, Indian Rocks is quite a 'balanced' location. Not too sleepy, but then again not party central!
The fact that the condo had a dedicated parking slot(Bay E), plus guest parking was a real plus for us. The condo in not too far from Tampa Airport - meaning that you could be on the beach sipping a cocktail within 90 minutes of touching down on the tar
Many properties claim that they are close to the beach, but the Sand Isle complex is quite literally ON the beach. Very few places can offer this kind of superior location.
Since there are so many great bars and restaurants within walking distance, you can leave your car at home. Remember, these are the places that other folk travel to - but they are right on our doorstep!
We like to hire a bike, and discover different places along Gulf Blvd. There's dedicated cycle path - so it is quite safe, and there are strict speed limits for cars.
Not that adventurous? You can always jump on the trolley bus that frequently stops outside the condo. It travels as far North at Dunedin, and as far South at St. Pete's beach. Clearwater beach is a favourite spot for a drink, and the sunset celebrations.
Booking with the owners was easy and hassle free. Always communicated quickly if we had a question. On arrival we entered the condo and it immediately had the WOW factor. So beautifully decorated, cool and inviting. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and kitchen items to enable us to make the odd meal when we wanted a quiet evening or lunch. It was spotlessly clean and you can tell the owners really care about the property. The location was excellent, the children loved being able to use the clean pool and being steps from the beach was just fantastic. We had a chilled, relaxing week here. Some really great restaurants within walking distance (we enjoyed a cheeky drink at JDs some afternoons with the live music). CVS just along the road was great for essentials but a 3 minute drive brought us to a great Publix which had everything we needed. All in all an unforgettable stay - I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Loved every minute of our 3 month stay at Sand Isles. The unit was clean, comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated. Location could not be beat. Steps from the water plus close to many great restaurants and shopping. Cannot wait to return next year.
We arrived at Sand Isles, hoping for the best and were very pleasantly surprized. The unit was spacious, very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location, as well, was perfect. A bit quieter than most of the communities on Gulf Blvd yet close to many great restaurants and stores. Of course, it was fabulous to be so close to the Gulf itself. Just a few steps away. The view from the pool was spectacular. The pictures do not lie. Gorgeous.
Indian Rocks beach is a great location; close to everything. Lots to do and see. During our stay, we spent much time exploring downtown St Petersburg, including the Dali Museum, which should not be missed. We were also able to see two baseball games (one in Dunedin and one in Clearwater) during the major leaque teams’ Spring Training sessions. How great is that!
We so enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave at the end of 3 months. Thank you both Linda and Steven for letting us stay at your home. We will definitely be back next year.
Outstanding, this was the perfect place to destress after our busy trip to New York. All the comforts of home with a lot more good weather thrown in!!! Luxury condo with all you could ask for and a great location, with great restaurants within walking distance. Thank you for a great stay!!!
Place was extremly clean. viiew of ocean was there on deck. everything needed was there and more. would recommend for long or short stay . one minute to pool , four minutes to beach.
This was the 2nd time we'd stayed at sand isle, this time for 2 weeks as we were so impressed the first time. The condo is really well equipped, really clean and in such a fantastic location. During our stay we had concerns with the patio doors, we emailed the owner who replied almost immediately and the problem was rectified the following day. In fact the owners were fantastic with communication on both of our stays and I would not hesitate to book with them again.
