Our family has owned Buena Vista for around 10 years. We bought it as a ruin and worked closely with local builders to sympathetically restore the house, emphasizing Andalucia’s links to Morocco through the design and furnishings. The house has very thick walls to help keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. There is a large roof terrace with comfortable banquettes where we have spent many a long and languid summers evening. In fact, we decided to install an outside kitchen so that we can maximise time spent on the terrace (and reduce the journeys downstairs for the cold cervezas!) There is a large shaded area, a fridge, sink, gas hob and cast iron "plancha" for flash frying (it also has a toaster and kettle so you can head straight up for breakfast!). The terrace has a lovely outside shower where you can enjoy spectacular views while getting ready for the evening ahead. Buena Vista sleeps 6 comfortably (there are 3 double bedrooms, each boasting spectacular views over the village and hills) and 2 bathrooms, one with a full sized bath. There is a good-sized, practical kitchen (with a well stocked larder containing herbs and spices etc). We are keen cooks so the kitchen is well equipped. The kitchen joins onto a comfortable sitting room with a large fire place – ideal for cosy winter nights in. The house is great for couples and families with older children or babies. We wouldn’t recommend the house for families with toddlers – the high terrace makes for lovely views but unless constant vigilance is your thing, it probably wouldn’t make for the most relaxing holiday!

A beautiful house in Andalucia which completely lived up to expectations.
Great for relaxing on the terrace as well as a good situation for walking in the Sierra Nevada and visiting Granada, Cordoba and other places.

A 40% deposit is required on confirmation of booking. The balance and a fully refundable £250.00 deposit (held against damages) is payable a month before arrival. Rental prices are based on full occupancy (6 people), but are negotiable depending on the time of year.
( Please note that there is a heating surcharge in winter. )
Generally Saturday to Saturday, but we can be flexible depending on the time of year. Arrivals generally after 2. 00 pm and departures generally by 10. 00 am on day of departure (again, we can be flexible depending on the time of year).
Notes on prices:
Prices are subject to availability and length of booking. We are happy to offer discounts out of season and for lower occupancy levels. Arrival and departure times can be flexible with prior agreement.
