Cottage in Carrbridge, Aviemore, Scottish Highlands, Scotland - Small Walk To Landmark Forest Park, Picturesque Carr Bridge And Local Shops

At one time the building was the Free Church of Scotland and retains much of that character. Recently renovated to a high standard it now offers a "home away from home"; everything you need for comfort is provided, from luxury bedlinen, scented candles and fluffy towels. The property is five minutes walk from the local shop, yet retains a feeling of being away from it all as it is located up a private lane that provides no through road. All appliances are less than three years old and a modern under floor heating system and wood burning stove provide comfort at all times of year. The living space is open plan to the kitchen and is a double height space, with a gallery to the upstairs, letting in loads of natural light. The bathrooms are modern, with both bath and shower available. Outside the property is not overlooked. There is a lovely patio with sun chairs and wooden fixed picnic table, in a wee sun trap. Parking is easy and there is plenty of space for four cars or more. Set in mature pine forest, yet south facing to the patio doors at the rear you could not pick a better location for a family holiday.

Lovely convertion experience

Our stay was all we expected it to be. The accommodation was very lovely. We even had snow! The cottage is situated just off the main road and in easy walking distance of local shops etc. We thoroughly enjoyed several visits to Landmark, especially the butterfly house, and the walks through the woods. The wood burning stove in the cottage was the icing on the cake for us and we enjoyed chopping sticks and getting in the logs. The underfloor heating was lovely when on, but we couldn't quite figure out how it worked. Eventually got the hang of the cooker as well - must have needed my holiday! Would recommend this place to others.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage. It is in a splendid location. Our grandson particularly liked havingthe wonderful forest right on the doorstep!

Beautiful warm comfortable and well equipped cottage

Family had a fabulous time. The dogs loved exploring the forest. Carrbridge is a lovely quiet village and close enough to Aviemore for supplies.

We would highly recommend this property and location for a relaxing break.

This was one of the most comfortable and charming cottages we have stayed in.

Family summer holiday

House is a real home away from home. Everything is provided you need for a relaxed stay. Location is stunning. Off the main road(s) but either way easy accessible. Whether Aviemore and its activity Estate Rothiemurchus or the Black Isle; Cromarty Firth; Speyside and its Whisky(s) just a few mls east or Inverness for an extended shopping; as well as beach life i.e in Nairn. All is reachable and you really enjoy coming back to the cottage, or even staying in for a lazy day. Thanks for great holidays!

Changeover Day:
Changeover day flexible but tends to be Saturday in high season. Departure by 10.30 am. Entry no earlier than 2 pm, although you may be able to drop off bags.

We may be able to accommodate shorter stays, but please note that the cost is not likely to be much reduced from the weekly rate. Please make contact.
