Just a 10 metre walk over a sandy path our 2 bedroom apartment is perfect for families with only a footpath between you and the beach. The apartment is on the second floor of the beach front row in a secure gated residence, giving uninterrupted views of the beach and sea from the balcony It has been recently refurbished throughout including a new kitchen and bathroom. Family friendly beach restaurants 5 mins. walk Arrive via Beziers airport, 15 mins, Montpellier airport 50mins, TGV Agde 10mins.

About Ruth Farmer

The property has been family owned for over 25 years with three generations never tiring of the pleasures of the beach; paddling, sand castle building, swimming, fishing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, evening games on an empty beach after everyone else has gone home and endless hours on the terrace overlooking the sea with family and friends. Now the current younger generation have finished secondary school we are no longer tied to school holidays so we have refurbished the apartment (Spring 2014) and are making it available for others to enjoy.

Coast/Beach:

10 metre walk to the sandy beach, Plage Roquille. Kayak and pedalo hire available on the beach along with flying fish, parascending and water skiing. Beach bars and restaurants 5 mins walk along the beach in both directions.

Travel:

Beziers airport is 15 mins drive away with car hire available at the airport if required. Montpellier airport is 50minutes drive again with car hire available. Eurostar/TGV from St Pancras via Paris stops at Agde Ville which is 10 minutes drive from the apartment.

Bike hire is available in Cap d'Agde with lots of cycle routes around the port and beach front.

Distances:

Within an hours drive are the Historic towns of Agde, Pezenas, Carcassone Sete and Montpellier along with the oyster beds in Marseillan and Meze and the beautiful Canal du Midi.

Further Details:

A boulangerie, fruit and veg stalls, seafood stall, two mini supermarkets, a pizzeria, a tabac and a cash point are behind the residence, 5 mins walk from the apartment. There are also several beach bars and restaurants 5 minutes walk along the beach. Many shops, bars, restaurants etc are in the main port of Cap d'Agde 20 minutes walking or a short drive. A couple of large Hyper-markets are 10 minutes drive away between Agde ville and Cap d'Agde.

The busy port of Cap d'Agde also offers boat tours along the coast and up the Herault river to the Historic town of Agde. Boat and jet ski hire are also available in the port. 10 mins drive away are Aqualand, the golf course an Amusement Park and Karting.

There is a daily fish market in the port along with a weekly Brocante and food market.

Beautiful apartment and location, great holiday!

This apartment was a really great find! All of our needs were met with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities that felt very modern and the apartment itself is well decorated and comfortable, as well as clean and well maintained! The kitchen facilities were easy to use so cooking and eating on the balcony during the evenings, whilst overlooking the beach, became one of my favourite parts of the trip. There are some really great restaurants a short walk away too, which was great for the nights when we didn't feel like cooking! The beach itself was so close to the apartment and a great place to spend time swimming and sunbathing, there are many beach activities available too. Having beach front accommodation is a great luxury to take advantage of!

The apartment and surrounding area felt very safe and secure, which was great. The area is family friendly, too! The local shops are easy to get to on foot and are a great convenience to have, my favourite was the patisserie due to the fresh baguettes! Cap D'Agde itself is a beautiful port town, so make sure to take a walk to the port markets and restaurants, it takes around 15-20 minutes to reach and it is a very pleasant walk.

I feel that this was amazing value for money, to stay in a beach front apartment that is also excellent accommodation was a treat. Communicating with the owner was also easy and they're very helpful! Overall, it was a restorative getaway from busy day-to-day life and if I return to Cap D'Agde I would stay here again without question!

Lovely apartment, super location

If you're looking for a beach holiday then you can't get closer than this.

The apartment is lovely, especially the kitchen and the shower. We all loved the shower. It was also very quiet in the evenings.

It is so close to the beach you only need to take your towel.

It's also got a great selection of shops 5 min walk away. Spar, fruit and veg stall, fish stall, lots of takeaways as well.

You can venture further say 10 mins and you are in the town.

We can recommend Le Manade for a good meal with excellent service.

I would recommend going by train as well. So much nice than flying.

I would visit here again.

Fantastic Beach Front Location

My wife and I stayed in this ideally situated 2nd floor apartment with balcony overlooking the beach in a secure gated development. Modern appliances in kitchen and a nicely fitted out shower room with separate bathroom, you are are short walk away from beach bars, restaurants and activities. The bus from Agde drops you at the gate so a car is hardly necessary to visit Grau d'Agde, Agde or the connections from there. We enjoyed our break and would recommend this property.

Fabulous location, lovely apartment!

This apartment is so well situated for families as it really is on the beach! It was a only a short walk to buy bread and essentials in the morning. The apartment was clean and well equipped, in a gated community so very safe and secure. We barbecued and ate out on the balcony a lot, a little bit of a squeeze as it's quite narrow! There are two fridges, handy for extra drinks and a large freezer, we really enjoyed the espresso machine! The shower was the best I've ever used! A car is not essential, we used ours twice in the ten days we were there. There is a wonderful coastal pathway that takes you to the two main restaurant/tourist areas. The port was our favourite place. Lots of restaurants for all budgets, be aware it's all very French though with very few translated menus. For us, this made for some hilarious attempts at speaking French but everyone was so friendly and appreciated the effort.

The sandy beach was safe & clean but did get very crowded immediately to the front of the apartment however we found it much quieter and spacious towards the other end. We had days where the sea was calm and still and others where the waves were perfect for body boarding, much to the delight of our kids! There are plenty of activities for kids of all ages.

We visited the crazy golf on a rainy day which was well kept and good fun. We took a boat trip from the harbour which was nice and not expensive. A short walk inland from the apartment is a park and a small electric boat company, our kids had fun taking one out for a spin.

We would definitely return and recommend it to our friends.

Super located appartment

We enjoyed our week in this quiet and top-located appartment just one step from the beach very much. The kitchen is modern and very well equiped so we found everything we needed. The bathroom aswell is nice and modern. There was really enough space for us as a family with two adults and two teen girls. The beach is right in front of the appartment and shops and bars are just some steps away. For the car there was a private parking space in the shade directly under the appartment. We can absolutely recommend this appartment!
