Newly redecorated for 2016. Suitable for two adults, set in the heart of the Kent countryside and overlooked by pear orchards. This well appointed apartment is in a village location close to bus routes and local railway station. Maidstone Town Centre is 3 miles away, Leeds Castle 9 miles away and 2 miles from M2/M20 motorway connection. Local village Inns serving traditional Pub fare, are within easy walking distance. The property comprises living room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There is central heating, free Wi-Fi, TV with Free view and integral DVD player. All linen, towels provided together with complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee also provided. Double bed can be converted to two singles. This is a smoke and pet free environment, non-smokers only welcome.

Rural idyl just moments from places of interest

This was a perfect apartment for our stay near Maidstone. Anita & Roy were very accommodating, allowing us to arrive early. There is nothing to criticise! Milk, coffee, tea, sugar, dishwashing tablets, Dove shampoo, condition and soap to mention just a few of the extras provided. To top everything off the bedding had all been ironed and all the crockery, glasses and cutlery all matched, very unusual in a rental property! A lovely quiet location, we went for a country walk directly from the front door. All in all this is certainly a 5* property.

What a find.

This is a great little property. We stayed for 5 nights and it was lovely to come home to our own little haven after along day sightseeing around the area. Anita kindly took in our case that had been delayed at Heathrow. I highly recommend this property.

comfy clean and well equipped

This property worked well for us when visiting family in the area. Comfortable 5 ft bed. Efficient heating system. Well equipped small kitchen area. We appreciated the dishwasher and all the little extras included like tea/coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels etc.. Dove and simple products in the bathroom were perfect for us.

perfect

We needed a small place for two, near enough to visit our children for the Easter weekend. This apartment was perfect - with a big comfy bed and luxurious bathroom (after running around with grandchildren all day!) and a very well equipped kitchen.

Perfect location for exploring Kent

A perfect location to explore the Kent countryside and surrounds. Nothing to fault in either the friendliness of the owners or the condition of the property which was beautifully maintained - all was five star and more besides. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending to anyone visiting the south east of the UK as it has everything -easy access to many National Trust properties and beautiful country pubs and restaurants as well as very close to the Kent coast.

We quite literally moved in with the hurricane of October 1987. Our re-location to Kent was forced thru business and we have never regretted the move. We have enjoyed the rural location whilst being close to all amenities .

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Travel:

Two miles to the M20/M2, 30 miles to Channel Tunnel and 40 miles Dover. London 30 miles, easy access by local train station (1/4 mile). Own transport recommended.

Distances:

Situated in the Ancient village of East Farleigh, which is located 3 miles outside of Maidstone (County Town of Kent), giving the opportunity to explore the Kent countryside. Easy access to local footpaths - maps available. Nearby places of interest include Leeds Castle, Tunbridge Wells and the historic cities of Canterbury and Rochester.

Further Details:

Local public houses within walking distance (15mins) for lunch/evening meal. Bus stops (for travel to Maidstone and onwards) and railway station 1/4 mile (for travel to London or Tonbridge, Redhill, Croydon and Gatwick airport).

We live a peaceful existence in the heart of the Kent countryside with wide ranging views across the Teston valley, and often enjoy the company of passing horse riders, dog walkers and the like. Lots of footpaths are close by to explore the area in more detail, and a local hostelry is 20 minutes walk thru the fields, lovely on a summer evening. 2015 winners, Best in Village Front Garden, Area 3.
