Villa near Gracisce, nr. Pazin, Istria, Croatia - Quiet rural woodland location in the hills of central Istria.

An idyllic stone house situated in the small hamlet of Deltini centrally located in the Istrian region of Croatia. It boasts its own 10 x 5 metre private pool set in beautiful landscaped garden, bordered by woodland and countryside. The traditional hill-top village of Gracisce is just 5km away with its breath taking views of the Ucka mountains and facilities including small grocery store, cash point, konoba, souvenir shop and post office.  The konoba serves a good range of food and drink including traditional Istrian fayre.  More comprehensive amenities can be found in the town of Pazin just 8km away, including pharmacy, cafes, shops, supermarkets (incl. Lidl) and hospital;  While a 40 minute drive will get you to either coast and the tourist towns of Rabac, Porec, Rovinj, Vrsar and Pula. The neighbours are very friendly and can supply fresh bread and other home grown seasonal produce direct to the villa. This is available to order at additional cost and can be discussed at time of booking, if required.

We were more than happy to find such a well equipped and clean holiday rental. Recommend highly.

The setting and general location provided a calm and relaxing place to properly stop. However everything is really just a short distance away by car. Both coastlines can be reached, although on the east coast, the places that had access to the sea seemed very busy. The west coast was busy as expected for August but not in a manic, claustrophobic way. The east road provided some beautiful scenery however. The property itself is well equipped and able to provide plenty of space for all the occupants it claimed to accommodate. It is true to it's description and the photos reflect how it is laid out. This was our first visit to Istria and nothing disappointed. We drove there and saw how beautiful Solvenia is as well. In our opinion the property is high on our list of favourite rentals and we would certainly consider renting again, or recommending to others. There is so much to see and do from the property as a base, or just to stop and relax. Food shopping and eating out all easy. The property was perfectly clean and well kept and gets a genuine thumbs up! Families with young toddlers might require stair gates but those with teenagers might enjoy the layout for optimum holiday space ( the down stairs layout). Istria is well worth the visit but so hope it doesn't get "over tourist". Road layout is good and no issues re driving or reaching locations.

A beautiful villa in a tranquil setting. Easy access to picturesque towns and villages. plenty to do

A very well appointed villa with a generously sized pool. In a very tranquil and peaceful environment. Within easy reach of beautiful and fascinating towns and local medieval hill top villages. This villa had it all!

Croatian toll roads are good and fees are small, although they can be avoided for a more rural drive, which also allows the opportunity to see more of the Croatian life. Food is great and relatively cheap if eating out. Groceries could be picked up from several supermarkets in the local town-15 minutes away. We made use of the barbeque some nights too. Only down side to that was the mosquitos that attack as soon as the light starts to go. However I seem to get this problem wherever I go and it's no worse here than anywhere else. There is a fantastic water park about 40 minutes away for the kids. We spent the entire day there, and I have older teenagers!

Also visited Plit Vicke Jezera National Park- this is without doubt the most breathtakingly stunning place that I've ever been! The colour of the waterfalls and lakes defy description.

I particularly enjoyed visiting the harbour towns of Pula and Porec. Motovun and Grasisce are lovely little hilltop towns that need to be visited to be believed. The kind of places that will flit in and out of your dreams forever!

I've been lucky enough to have travelled quite a bit but I've fallen in love with Istria.

In high summer we do find mosquito repellent useful and also make use of the Vape mosquito plug-ins provided to keep the house clear before bed. We also love visiting Plitvička jezera and would highly recommend visiting on a sunny Autumn day to enjoy the spectacular array of colours on display.

We love the area because of the fantastic local scenery and great accessibility to all the attractions in Istria. The villa is in a quiet location which offers a break from crowds.
