A picturesque, spacious, tranquil family home surrounded by fields, farmland and stunning rural views, just 5 miles from the renowned, beautiful beaches of Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay, 6 miles from Newquay and 11 miles from Padstow. With 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 3 bathrooms 2 kitchens and large gardens; our spacious home will easily accommodate any family get-together! 1 x superking room, 1 x king, 1 x twin, 1 x triple and 1 single.

Lovely spacious house in central location

We have just spent a lovely week in this property, 2 families made up of 4 adults and 6 children.

The house & garden are very spacious easily accommodating us all.

The children loved their rooms and the freedom of the large gated garden.

It is in a rural location, easy to find and a great central location for beaches, towns & attractions. We ordered on online delivery for groceries, there was also a well stocked small shop at a near bye petrol station.

The house and furnishings were very clean, well maintained & the house & kitchen very well equipped. The garden is lovely, well kept, not overlooked and had fantastic views over local countryside.

The house is on the flight path for Newquay Airport but this had no negative impact on the holiday at all, the airport isn't busy, the flights were only during the day and the children loved watching the aircraft landing or taking off.

Contact with the owner was prompt, key collection & departure very efficient and well organised.

We would definitely highly recommend this property.

Simply stunning

We stayed as 3 generations - 10 of us - in this stunning property.

It was spacious, light & really fresh looking. Carpets downstairs seemed new, furniture was top class and the crockery / cutlery & top quality.

It really felt like a home from home.

We ate fresh eggs every morning from the farm next door running an honesty box system. Bought fresh potatoes & even got given cauliflowers from the field in front from the Eastern European pickers.

The location is rural, safe for kids as no busy road. The children loved waving at the planes as the flew into Newquay airport, and the noise didn't disturb us at all & stopped overnight.

We loved explaining the local beaches, a favourite being Trevanon(so?) great for rock pooling & good coffee from a hut too.

Another fabulous trip was hiring bikes from Wadebridge & cycling to Padstow for lunch & back again - full of Cornish pasty & ale.

Can't recommend this place highly enough & the location that allows you to do & see so much. We loved it!

Fantastic holiday house!

The pictures of this house really don't do justice to the space you have both inside and out of this property. We were two family (one of 4, one of 5) and at no point were we in each others pockets. The kitchen is huge and very well equipt. The bedrooms were all spacious with loads of storage to unpack in and the living room has amazing views! Plus everywhere was very clean and the fresh flowers added a homely touch.

It was a fantastic location, feeling as though you were in the middle of nowhere, when the main road was only a couple of minutes drive. Newquay was only 10 minutes away and Padstow 20 minutes. In good weather the garden would be glorious to sit out in (& the front gate shuts to keep kiddies inside!). Even though it is on the flight path of Newquay airport, you are rarely disturbed by the planes and they don't disturb your sleep 👍

Amazingly good value, we would definitely return for another stay ☺ Thank you for a lovely holiday house.

Fantastic week in a fantastic house

The property is in a fantastic location with stunning views and a great garden. We were 2 families of 5 and the spacious property means you aren't on top of each other at all and the children had a wonderful time playing various games in the garden. The property was clean and very well maintained. It is very very well equipped. The welcome booklet and local information was very informative and we used it many times to plan our days. The location is perfect to explore Cornwall as it is very central and near to stunning beaches. Contact with the owner was very prompt and efficient. We would recommend this property for a great stay in Cornwall.

Top gaff :)

I went with my family last year (5 adults and five young children) and found the property and grounds to be an exceptional base in which to stay. The owners had been extremely helpful and accommodating in the lay out of the rooms to suit our needs. The house was lovely, bright and clean and the grounds gave the kids plenty of room to run around and play whilst there. We ordered a Tesco home delivery to arrive the same day we did so that we had groceries for the week as you are not close to any main shops. There is a garage and shop within driving distance where you can get milk and fresh bread when needed. Next door sell some beautiful vegetables also. Cornwall is a fantastic place for a beach holiday but if you don't know the area well you will need a map to find the best beaches to visit. Please set off early though as the car parks fill up very early. A good day out if the weather is not the best would be to drive yo Wadebridge and hire bikes to ride along the Camel Trail. Columb Major offers nice takeaway in the form of Fish and Chips or Chinese if you don't fancy cooking but you will need a car. We all had a fabulous time and I couldn't fault the property one bit.
