Relaxing short break at Lansdowne annexe.
About the Owner
We have lived at Lansdowne ever since moving to the area from Nottingham in 2001 and can't imagine living anywhere else. The scenery is amazing, the walks are incredible and the nearness of the lovely little town of Hay-on-Wye is an added bonus.

Relaxing short break at Lansdowne annexe.
A really relaxing short break. The accomodation was very clean and we really enjoyed the cosy feel (especially the underfloor heating ). The kitchen and bathroom were well maintained and provided everything you needed. The accomodation was quiet and the surrounding countryside beautiful and we enjoyed walking into Hay on Wye. I would definitely recommend Lansdowne annexe.
Peaceful , very comfortable and stunning countryside.
We were very impressed with everything about Lansdowne. Having travelled extensively we can say that this is a real gem! Beautiful countryside, Very pleasant hosts who were happy for us to bring our Yorkshire terrier. The accommodation ticks every box and we look forward to having an opportunity to visit again in the near future. We can't recommend Landsdowne highly enough.. Jessica & Nick Langston
Hay on Wye stay
Lovely apartment in quiet location, ideal for our exploration of the Brecon Beacons and the area.
Easy walk to Hay and all facilities available.
Stayed 3 nights would have liked to stay longer and would hope to return to explore further, loads of places to walk, browse and eat.
Apartment clean and comfortable and all we needed and owners next door and very helpful.
We have stayed in lots of self catering apartments and houses and Lansdowne annexe ranks as one of the very best. Friendly hosts, a cosy, warm, clean and bright space with everything you could need. Lovely views, walks, close proximity to Hay and extremely good value for money. We appreciated stuff like tea bags and cooking oil being available as well as excellent guides to the area. Could not recommend it more highly.
Well equiped spacious property.
Very comfortable apartment in an ideal quiet location very easy access into Hay. Spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, large modern bathroom and good bedroom with shared use of owners large attractive garden. All accommodation clean fresh and modern. Especially appreciated the full selection of essentials like washing up liquid, bin bags, cooking oil, etc. Would not hesitate to recommend this property which was also reasonably priced.
Happy stay at Lansdowne, Hay-on-Wye
We have been staying at the Lansdowne for years and always look forward to our visits. Stuart & Sandra are the friendliest hosts you could wish for, and are always happy to advise places to go and things to do in the local area.
The annexe itself is a lovely place to stay- airy and bright with high ceilings and large windows. It is really well equipped for self catering- or you can head into Hay for the wide selection of cafés, restaurants and pubs serving fantastic, often locally sourced food.
The annexe has a large open plan kitchen/ living room, bedroom (with a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage space) plus a bathroom with large bath and power shower.
The Lansdowne is in Cusop, a short walk over the border into Hay, which is crammed with independent book, antique and gift shops. Cusop itself is set in beautiful countryside, with excellent options for a variety of walks right on your doorstep. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

From the Owner
“After many years of visiting the area we decided to move here and fell in love with our house Lansdowne, which was being run as a bed and breakfast. The house is in a perfect position with stunning views and a beautiful garden. In 2008 we built the self-contained annexe with the purpose of using it for holiday lets as we were aware that more and more people preferred to have self-catering holidays.”
