About Kim Woodley

I'm a recently retired Headteacher who enjoys holidaying in this most wonderful part of the south of France. My family of all ages from 1 week to 93 have enjoyed fabulous holidays at all times of the year in our special holiday villa. We are delighted to invite others to enjoy our house when we cannot be there. To ensure you have a happy holiday we have a wonderful local English lady (Karen) who looks after the house and guests and also Steve who cares for the pool, hot tub and gardens.

Kim Woodley purchased this villa in 2004

Why Kim Woodley chose Montauroux

We bought this holiday home in 2004. We had searched along the south of France for a house that was in a quiet location but easy to reach shops, local markets and the beautiful hilltop villages as well as being near enough for our youngsters to get to the beaches and the lively towns of Cannes, Nice, St Tropez etc. We found this house and fell in love! and have since had a magical Christmas there and numerous summer, spring and Autumn breaks. It is a very easy 40 minute journey from Nice airport where the car hire is cheap with a wide choice.

What makes this villa unique

The pool and outdoor hot tub offer the most relaxing days with the evening entertainment being the 2 metre wide home cinema system, boules, table tennis, games or a more leisurely bit of peace watching the amazing sunsets.

A property that really exceeds your expectations..

  • 5 of 5

Wow ! Everything one could ever wish for when arriving at a holiday destination.. The sheer size of the place and facilities it offers gives way to a very enjoyable holiday. The outside space the pool and hot tub add to the comfort of your stay. The Barbecue area which is covered also offers enough space to cool off on very hot days. A very comfortable area indeed. With the addition of a fridge freezer shower and toilet area all for ones amenities. The whole space gave a sense of ease throughout. The Villa inside does not disappoint in any way. From the comfortable lounge and dining area to the very well stocked kitchen. All 5 bedrooms were extremely comfortable with a private bathroom to 3 of the rooms and a shared bathroom to the 2 rear bedrooms.

Very child friendly. The whole property is very well maintained and very clean on arrival. Lovely bedding and towels including pool towels. The owner was brilliant throughout my booking. After I had explained this was my first visit to France she really went to a lot of trouble giving me information to help with my stay. The villa is approx 40 minutes from Nice airport. A local supermarket and restaurants are all within a 6 minute drive, with some quite beautiful areas to explore within a 15 minute drive.Fayence in particularly is beautiful with a local market 3 times a week round the beautiful church. We enjoyed many meals throughout the day and also the evening in this area. You are also very close by a local glider club who serves really great food. The Home cinema was great. We had 2 weeks of comfort in this very idiotic Villa and was very sad to leave. We would certainly like to return.

Owner's Response: I am delighted you had such a wonderful time for your first visit to france and had such a great stay in my house. I am really pleased you have already asked to return. I did laugh at your 'typo' about my 'idiotic' villa - isn't spellcheck annoying when you try to put idyllic! Many thanks for explaining this and I look forward to welcoming you next year.

An incredible villa with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Having followed some incredibly useful directions, provided by the host, we arrived at the villa with ease only to be greeted by astounding views and a wonderfully prepared house. 6 of us stayed for the week and there was more than enough space for us to spend days lounging around the house, each with our own space to chill out in. The pool was perfect to cool off in and we migrated to the hot tub for the sunsets. Idyllic views especially when paired with a beverage...

So many beautiful towns and places to visit only a short car ride away. Exploring this area is a must.

In general, a wonderfully hassle-free experience, in a beautiful villa, with stunning views and hosts on hand if anything was needed.

Beautifully presented villa, amazing location

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at the Maison de Bonheur villa and I couldn't recommend it enough. The villa is spacious, clean and beautifully presented. The views are incredible and so are the sunsets (an instagrammers dream). Being able to swim in the pool, which may I add is a lot bigger than it looks in the pics, in the middle of October was amazing.

However, my favourite part of the house is without a doubt the outdoor kitchen which is next to the pool and it features a big BBQ, pizza oven an outdoor fridge - perfect for social evenings which you can then finish off with a dip in the jacuzzi! Can't wait to return early next year!

Winderful house in beautiful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful fortnight in this fabulous house. Our party of 10 included a 10 month old baby and an 83 year old with every age in between! Every member of the party had a great holiday. The house is well furnished and equipped. The pool is perfect and was cleaned during our stay, as was the hot tub which is a real luxury and offers the perfect place to end the day. We loved the pizza oven and barbecue and enjoyed precious family time over many a meal around the large outdoor dining table. We highly recommend La Maison de Bonheur and will most certainly be returning :)

Amazing home, beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

We'd seen pictures of this property, but nothing could have prepared us for how amazing it is. You see the stunning views as soon as you arrive, and then getting to stay in the beautiful house is the cherry on top. Spacious and yet so homely at the same time, Maison de Bonheur was absolutely perfect for our family (10 months - 83 years!) and allowed us to completely relax, slow down the pace of life, have lots of fun, and make amazing memories. We loved the little touches like the home cinema & DVDS (classic and recent), book collection, table tennis and pizza oven. And of course, the pool and hot tub - perfect! Close to supermarkets, lovely restaurants and some really pretty villages. Also a lake with lots of water sports/activities (5mins drive). Can't recommend this home highly enough and we are already looking forward to our return.
