About Richard Nash

My childhood was full of freedom, sunshine, fresh air, of being near the sea, beaches and big open skies. Having lived in London and Bristol for many years, I would yearn to be back and would be happy to spend time trekking in and out to get those few precious days on or near the coast and return home relaxed and replenished. It has been a long term ambition to be within a stones throw of the beach and the sea and one day I just woke up and thought it's time to make this happen - so, as they say, 'Where there's a will there's a way' and it has proved to be one of the best decisions I've ever made!

Richard Nash purchased this cottage in 2013

We have had a lovely time. Burry Port & Pembrey Country Park are great. The beaches are beautiful - miles of them and hardly any people. Really liked the good quality towels and bedding in the cottage - it makes such a difference. The local people are so friendly - we were made to feel very welcome. Glynys & Clive K - Stroud, Glos.

A really convenient location for shops, beach, cycle path and exploring the area. we found the cottage very comfortable and extremely well equipped and the great garden was a real bonus for us. The beaches all around are fantastic and Tilly (the dog) has made lots of new friends. We found Carmarthen & Tenby well worth a visit... Burry Port offers so much and the cottage is great. Thanks. Mike & Judith C & family - Tavistock, Devon.

Lovely cottage for family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved Amelia cottage, it is very cosy and has everything for a family holiday. We found the beds, linen and towels to be of excellent quality. The garden is totally enclosed and wes very well used by us and of course the dog loved it.

It was our first visit to Burry port and we found it was a good base for exploring the area and the locals were really friendly. Thanks Richard for the welsh cakes and milk which was very welcome on arrival and thank you for letting us stay.

Excellent. A very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a gem. We had a great stay despite our bad luck with the weather. Very comfortable and well equipped. We particularly liked sitting in the dining area with it's French windows looking out onto an immaculately kept garden. The weather was so poor that we did not have the opportunity to sit on the paved patio, complete with picnic table and parasol or in the cosy summer house. It was nice to have off-street parking for quite a large car, in front of the cottage. We found all the local people to be very friendly and helpful. The harbour, shops and station are all within easy walking distance of an average person.

Really comfortable cottage, very clean and well equipped but relaxed. Lovely garden.

  • 5 of 5

Amelia Cottage is very comfortable, clean and well equipped, has a lovely private and secure garden which our grandsons enjoyed. It is well situated, close to some lovely sandy beaches, and Pembrey Country Park, about 8 minutes away, was a big hit, we spent several hours there one day, also a lovely beach and sand dunes there. Kidwelly Castle is also very close and enjoyed by all. Would recommend.
