Great villa in the Old Town

We stayed here for 5 days in July and had a wonderful stay. The apartment is situated right in the middle of the old town so ideal to explore the old town of Dubrovnik. It was well equipped, very clean and a really great comfortable place to stay. Highlight is definitely the courtyard which is perfect for balmy evenings outside enjoying delicious fresh fruit and vegetables from the market with a glass of wine.

Lovely house, superb location

The house is in really good condition and is very comfortable. It's in a great location in the old town, close to restaurants and shops - and is only about a third of the way up the steep city steps. The terrace is lovely, spacious and shady at all times of the day. It has air conditioning which was much needed in 37 degrees and the double glazing meant there wasn't noise from people going home in the early hours. The property managers are nice and welcoming, meeting us at the Pile Gate and showing us the house - and arranged airport transfers. The old city is well worth visiting - and I'd definitely recommend staying here to make the most of it.

The apartments are within 5 minutes of place to swim and about 10 minutes from a larger public beach. Local and international ferry service terminals and boat docks are minutes away by walking or bus.


Dubrovnik airport is 20 minutes away by cab or bus from town entrance (Pile Gate). Also from Pile gate you can reach any other part of new town as well as main bus station.


Old Town (Stari Grad) - Few steps, concerts, city walls, market, squares, galleries, cafe bars, restaurants, pizza, cinema, theater, churches, temples, post office, historical sites. Bus stops, taxi station, cable car, public and private beaches, ferry docks 5 to 10 minutes of walk..

Zagreb is less than one hour by plane, 8 hours by bus. Split is less than half hour by plane, 3 hours by bus.

Bosnia (and Medjugorje), and Montenegro (and Sveti Stefan) are easy, scenic day trips.

Further Details:

The apartment is located approx 20 minutes from the airport with a taxi. Transfers can be arranged. No car is required whilst you stay at the apartment. Parking in the street is very difficult at most times and expensive.
