Beautifully refurbished - Quiet sunny outside seating area

Lower Wesley House is the ground floor of an historic listed building in Wesley Square - a peaceful hidden gem in the heart of Mousehole, just 30 seconds from the harbour. There is a double bedroom with a kingsize bed and a smaller bedroom with a double bed which can be arranged to provide space for a travel cot. The good sized sitting room has the original granite fireplace and a cosy woodburner; an interactive smart TV has a subscription to Netflix. The bathroom has a monsoon shower over the double ended steel bath and underfloor heating. The large kitchen / dining room with built-in Bosch appliances is well equipped with granite work surface, induction hob, fridge,wine cooler and an excellent selection of pots, pans, utensils and knives to please the keenest of cooks and plenty of space for the 8 foot long kitchen table - ideal for long leisurely meals, board games or reading the Sunday papers!

Our prices are FULLY INCLUSIVE of High quality bedlinen, towels, toiletries, and a Welcome Pack.

We prefer lets to start on Friday or Monday, but outside peak periods we can normally be quite flexible. However this website is not very versatile, so if you have any questions about alternative dates, times, or anything else please contact us by phoning the number on the website or by email.

Wesley House will be ready for you by 4pm when you arrive - please leave the cottage by 10:30am on your last day.

About Heather Paterson

My name is Fiona Moore. I have been visiting West Cornwall with my family for many years and Mousehole has always been our favourite village; so pretty and characterful, and the locals are always so welcoming and friendly. I live in the Cotswolds and my work as a busy consultant in the retail food sector often takes me abroad. All I can say is that as St Michaels Mount comes into view as I drive down the A30, the pressures of work seem to lift and it is a dream to find such a relaxing sanctuary as Wesley House to come to. My sister, Heather Paterson loves West Cornwall too - she deals with bookings and can give you lots of advice about Wesley House, Mousehole and further afield.

I hope the photos in this listing can give you some idea of the convenience and stylishness of the place. Food is my passion as well as the way I make a living and this is reflected in the well-equipped kitchen. There are great places to eat out locally, but if cooking is your thing too, I think you will find most of what you need at Wesley together with an abundance of great fresh ingredients available locally.

One of my favourite things about being in Wesley Square - its REALLY close to the harbour and its beaches and less than two minutes walk from the great restaurants and art galleries in Mousehole, but the quiet surroundings would make you think they were miles away!

Why Heather Paterson chose South West Cornwall

Mousehole is a charming and friendly village where the ancient fishing harbour has been transformed into a delightful place to paddle, swim, fish, mess about in boats, or simply watch everyone else doing those things. There are plenty of really good places to eat, and beautiful little art galleries to browse around. A short drive will take you to a plethora of interesting sites, both coastal and inland - even without a car, the bus service can take you around the West Cornwall peninsula, or to Penzance Railway station and the Scilly Isles Ferry.

What makes this apartment unique

Lower Wesley House is equipped and furnished the way you would do your own home - for instance, the dishwasher, fridge and cooking appliances built into the granite topped kitchen units are all by Bosch, and the bathroom has underfloor heating to ease you into the beautiful double ended bath and monsoon shower. Original artwork has been chosen to reflect our love for the Cornish landscape and on sunny days or balmy evenings, a table and chairs are provided outside to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Wesley Square. Few rental properties boast such stylish flair and attention to detail!

The house was superb - beautifully maintained, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The whole family, including our dog, loved it. Even though we enjoyed some wonderfully mild weather, the wood burner was particularly welcome when we came back in the evenings from a meal in the village. Thank you also for the welcome pack. It was a lovely touch and set just the right tone for the stay. ... We will undoubtedly look to book the house again at some time.

Perfectly peaceful, brilliantly beautiful

The cottage is simply stunning. Lots of beautiful design choices, and home comforts mixed up with little luxuries. The bed is comfy and bedding luxurious. Beautiful bathroom. Gorgeous log burner. Stunning kitchen and diner which is equipped with everything you'll need. Mousehole is the perfect bolt hole, it's charm and beauty is overwhelming. Great local restaurants and lovely locals.

A lovely home from home!

A beautiful home from home tucked away in Mousehole where I spent a relaxing few days in December. Great cafes and restaurants were still open and the post is collected later than it is in the Cotswolds! However, if you don't feel comfortable reversing in your car avoid Mousehole at all costs!!

Simply perfect in all aspects of our stay.

We know Cornwall very well and chosen to stay in Mousehole simply to relax. I found Wesley House online and took to its homely, clean and well maintained cottage straight away and from the images provided. When we arrived we couldn't contain our excitement, there were squeals of delight as we explored the cottage, it was simply perfect for us, quirky, beautiful furnishings and spotlessly clean. Our holiday had started on a high note indeed. We were also greeted by a hamper full of goodies which is a lovely touch. We bought and cooked fresh fish from Newlyn, did a cold meat and cheese reception for our friends in Penzance and who once owned St Michaels guest house in Marazion, they fell in love with Wesley House and were full of admiration of the owners and what they had created. We ate at No 2 in Mousehole, relaxed with a drink in the Ship Inn, visited Falmouth for Ricks fish and chips, breakfasted at the harbour deli in Mousehole, soaked up the sun on Perranuthnoe beach and visited some of the wonderful places we love so much, Porthcurno, Bottallack mines, Cape Cornwall, Marazion and Porthleven.
