Holiday Villa in Villamartin, Costa Blanca South, Spain - Peaceful location, 10 minute walk to Villa Martin Plaza and Golf Course

This superbly located villa is only a short 10 minute stroll from Villamartin Championship Golf course and the supermarkets, shops, bars and wonderful restaurants of Villamartin Plaza.

Casa Joan is beautifully furnished and has three bedrooms (one double, two twin), a main family bathroom and an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom.

The lounge has leather sofas and a dining area with seating for 6. There is satellite TV including BBC1 & 2, ITV, Channel's 4 & 5.

The property has a fully equipped fitted kitchen with microwave, hob, oven, kettle fridge and toaster. There is also a utility room with washing machine, iron & ironing board.

There is a large sun terrace leading from the master bedroom with sea views (see picture) it is ideal for a BBQ with seating for 6. There is also a further terrace leading from the lounge with seating that overlooks your own private lawned garden with illuminated palm tree.

Complex Facilities:

The Valencia complex on which the villa is situated, with its pretty gardens and fountains, has fantastic facilities with 2 communal swimming pools, 5 aside football and Italian Restaurant.


The Costa Blanca has 38 Blue Flag beaches and has an average of 320 days of sunshine per year at an average temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.

Casa Joan is well situated to take advantage of many beaches. The wonderful family friendly beaches of La Zenia, Cala Capitan and Cabo Roig are a short 5 minute drive away.

Mar Menor and Pilar de Horada are just a 15 minute drive away.

Shopping & Markets:

Casa Joan is also a 5 minute drive from the recently opened Centro Commercial Zenia Boulevard which is the largest mall in the province of Alicante.

It is designed as a shopping town and has more than 160,000 square metres of total floor area and 5,000 FREE parking spaces. Shops located in the mall itself include: Hypermarket Auchan, Leroy Merlin (DIY), Decathlon, Norauto, Media Markt, Conforama, Primark, Alcampo Mango, Zara, C & A , H & M, Laura Ashley, Claire’s Accessories , Guess, Swarovski, Astoria, Cortefiel with Pedro del Hierro, Via Di Milano, Nichi Seijo, Geox and many more.

Zenia Boulevard is open air and modelled on a Mediterranean city, with streets and squares. 90% of the retail space is located on one floor, the first floor being devoted to the restoration and leisure, which are accessible by escalator or by the spectacular panoramic elevators Zenia Boulevard offers. In addition there are restaurants such Lizarrán, Bite the Pasta, 100 Montaditos, Burger King, Kebab Express, Wok Centre, Arrocería Good Rices, De Basu, Subway etc. Younger guests will enjoy playground 'Zenia Kids ' and the onsite ten pin bowling alley.

The nearest supermarket at Villamartin is a 10 minute walk away and the nearest large supermarket is just a 3 minute drive.

There are many local Spanish markets taking place throughout the week where you can buy anything from locally grown vegetables and produce to other local products such as shoes from Elche, Chocolate from Turin and leather products that are also locally manufactured.

Additional Services: Some Baby equipment is available free of charge and can be reserved and placed in the villa or apartment for your arrival i.e.: Cot

Local Information:

Torrevieja is 10km away and is famous for is salt lakes and therapeutic climate. Torrevieja is busy all year round and shopping can be enjoyed in the Habanares shopping centre or the evening street stalls. There is also a funfair near the marina.

Just outside of Torrevieja is the Aquapark (open during the summer season) with its flumes, water-slides, pool, wave machine etc.

For the more cultured a visit to the local historical towns Murcia, Orihuelu and Elche with their many churches and museums.

For the really adventurous a day trip to wildness of the Sierra Espuna national park is recommended.

Clean, spacious and child friendly.

We had a fantastic 3 weeks at Casa Joan. The villa is in a superb location and is peaceful. The villa had everything we needed and was spacious and clean. The children loved the swimming pool and it was easy access to the stunning La Zenia beach which was only 5 minutes by car. The plaza had everything we needed with its lovely restaurants and bars.

This is the perfect holiday location for peace and quiet and a good night's sleep but at the same time on minutes away from good restaurants and bars.Ours was a golfing trip so the location for all the different courses was perfect but only five minutes from the beach for the sun worshippers.

Dave was our manager for the week (our second visit) and was there to greet us having prepared the property beforehand and was there punctually for our departure.Always available if you need him, very friendly and helpful.

We look forward to going back again next year.

Holiday 2014

On arrival to Casa Joan, we were greeted by Dave the Villa Manager, who was very helpful and informative. Casa Joan was clean and homely we had ample room as we were staying with 3 teenage boys, it was nice to escape to the large sun terrace on the upper floor if we needed a breather.

Casa Joan offers all the home comforts you require UK TV, DVD washing machine 2 bathrooms what more can you ask for with teenagers !!

There was the use of 2 swimming pools on the complex which were very clean, plenty of space for sunbathing.

We enjoyed a stroll in the mornings along the canal to Los Dolces, for breakfast (Max 4-5 Min Walk) there is a wide choice of restaurants to choose from all offering good value food.

Villa Martin Plaza is a must (Max 10 min stroll) excellent restaurants, we would recommend 'Club House' restaurant. Two nights a week there is a live band or show in the centre of the square, every one is really friendly and helpful.

My Family and I would strongly recommend a stay at Casa Joan.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Golf : villamartin Nearest Beach : La zenia at 2 Kilometres Car: not necessary


We are a five minute drive from the wonderful family beaches of La Zenia, Cala Capitan and Cabo Roig. La Zenia has a lovely restaurant with a pool and pool bar. On the beach itself there are sunbeds and parasols for hire, WC's and a children's play area. Cala Capitan is also perfect for families it has a sheltered shallow cove and a lovely beach bar with access to WC and playground.

The beaches of Mar Menor, San Pedro de Pinatar and Pilar de Horada are just a 15 minute drive away.


The nearest airport is Murcia/San Javier and is a short 20 minute drive away.

Alicante airport is a 45 minute drive away.


Villa Martin is just a short 10 minute walk away. There you will find a supermarket and many shops, bars and restaurants for more details visit www.villamartinplaza.com.

Los Dolses is a 5 minute walk away. There you will find a SuperValu supermarket a Garden Centre and shops and restaurants.

  • Outside: At the front of the property (off the lounge) there is a large terrace with a shaded seating area. This overlooks a lovely front garden with a lawned area and large illuminated palm tree. To the rear of the property there is a patio accessed via one of the twin bedrooms. Upstairs there is a large sun terrace, accessed via the master bedroom, with sea views and a table and seating for 6 people. We have access to 2 communal pools within a 3 or 4 minute walk from the villa both pools have sun shades and infant pools. Utility Room: The utility room is located off the kitchen area and has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and bath towels are included in the rental charge. In addition to the rental charge there is a 70 euro cleaning charge which is payable to our agents on arrival at the villa.
