Apartment in Arenal d'en Castell, Menorca, Balearic Islands - Peaceful location, close to all amenities and 1 min walk to the beach

This 2 bedroom apartment has probably one of the best positions in Arenal d'en Castell. It is located in the the centre of the bay with magnificent views to the sea. The vast balcony is totally private and there is a short walk down the steps ( with no road to cross) to the white sandy beach.There is a double bedroom and a twin room (which also can be used as a double) with an extremely large kitchen dining room and living room leading onto the balcony. We also have free Wi- Fi throughout the apartment. We take both Euros and Sterling via bank transfer.

Relaxing holiday in beautiful apartment

If you are needing peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. The view from the sundeck is breathtaking. The apartment itself is very tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Everything you need is there to make life easy. There are some very nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk, including a very handy supermarket. The owner has left a very useful catalogue with recommendations on eating out and car hire etc. The beach is lovely and the sea is ideal for young ones, and the elderly. Nice and shallow clear water. If you are a reader, there is quite a substantial library so no need to take too many books.

I highly recommend this apartment to my family and friends.

Schöne Lokation mit wundervollem Blick

Eine schön eingerichtete Ferienwohnung mit traumhaften Blick auf die Bucht und den Strand. Auch der Strand eignet sich wunderbar zum Schwimmen in kristallklarem Wasser.

Kleine Mängel: Die Wohnung war, wie auch die gesamte Ferienanlage, nicht gründlich sauber, sondern sehr staubig. Darüberhinaus waren die Bettdecken bei unserer Ankunft feucht und es roch ein wenig muffelig, da nicht ausreichend gelüftet und geheizt wurde.

Great views and outside area, let down badly with cleanliness

Good area with amazing views from patio area, plenty of outside seating in a large patio. description was fair as in position and views, lots of steps down to beach (approx103), lovely beach and plenty of restaurants and places to drink. There is a boardwalk all the way along the beach front to another small village with a great little Italian restaurant called La Bella Napoli, very nice people.

Sadly the property was not well maintained or very clean, there was stained bedding inc pillow covers. Disgusting stained cups, cutlery, which should be in the bin!, the fridge was also horrible with black mould around door seal and shelves needed cleaning. Cooker was also not clean. Stained wall in kitchen area. I could go on, but think that the owner has said she will not rent the property again until all our issues have been addressed. This would then be a great place to stay, but should never have been on the market like this. The owner sent round the cleaners who did clean some of the things, but the fresh bedding was also stained (yuk), they showed us more which was all the same. Cups were cleaned but fridge and cooker no improvement and they told us these are not new appliances. So not much better. No apology from owner until pushed about it later. We have photos.

The owner provided good communication. She eventually agreed to refund 25% of the rental charge, thanks for this.

Based on our experience we cannot reccomend this place to friends or family.

Ideal position - superb view

If you are going to stay in Arenal d'en Castell, this the perfect apartment. The view over the bay and out to sea would be hard to beat. The patio is not overlooked, the property is well-furnished, and there are good restaurants and a small supermarket a stone's throw away.

The resort itself is perhaps not the best, but if you rent a car the whole of the rest of the island is available. That said, if you just want a safe beach with crystal clear water and civilisation close to hand, Arenal d'en C would fit the bill.

So stunning we didn't want to leave

What a gorgeous apartment. It is beautifully appointed with stylish furnishings and a view to die for. Access to the amazing beach is so easy, as well as to the local restaurants and all facilities. From breakfasting on the balcony, to evening drinks watching the dun go down, this is a great place to spend your holiday.... we may have to come to back.

Fantastic

We stayed for 10 days and everything was fantastic. Clean and tidy in the apartment, in a perfect location with the balcony being the highlight getting the sun all day, with beautiful views in the evening.

It is literally a 1 minute walk to the beach, 1 minute walk to the shops and 5 minutes to a swimming pool, so everything is within reach.

Both bedrooms are very nice and the wifi is a good to keep up to date with things.

Would highly recommend.

Nearest Airport : Mahon at 15 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Arenal d'en Castell at 0.1 Kilometres

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful beach is just a few minutes walk down the steps from the apartment. A white sandy beach with amazing crystal clear blue water which is very suitable for young children and also a great place for swimming for adults.

There are pedalo's and canoe's available on the beach to hire.

Travel:

The airport is 20 mins away from the apartment.

There is a bus service available to Mahon from near the apartment or rental cars are available from the airport or in the resort.

Distances:

Fornells is a 15 minute drive away which is a lovely village to visit, sailing and windsurfing and boat hire is all available here,. There is also an array of lovely restaurants situated around the water.

Mahon( the capital ) 25 mins drive away, the old port with the many boats and restaurants is a lovely place to visit.
