About the property

This is a 1970's highly skilful barn conversion .The two properties exude great charm and character and provide a wonderful holiday venue, - with great facilities and a high degree of comfort. The views to the sea and over the farmland to the mountains are breathtaking. They are just two of the 4 cottages on this secluded site which makes them ideal for extended families of several generations,- but they do remain extremely attractive for smaller parties including couples. The other two cottages Ysgubor and Ystabal can be seen at W2358,- or all 4 can be viewed in more detail at llysbennarholidaycottages.co.uk

the obvious attractions of our cottages are the proximity to a gorgeous child friendly beach , only half a mile distance and the wonderful hill walking in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains in the immediate area.We are at the South end of the Snowdonia national Park. For more serious climbers Mt Snowdon is 35 miles away and Cadair Idris which is almost as Challenging is 16.5 miles. For serious Mountain Bikers the world famous Coed y Brenin is 17 miles away. For Bird Watchers a wide variety of coastal birds are present at seaside locations and the wonderful Ospreys are nesting at a site near Tremadog where the same pair have successfully hatched chicks,- having made the trip from N.Africa for the last 10 years. The cottages are ideally located for all these activities but those who want complete rest there is no where so peaceful just to take in the wonderful views of sand dunes and sea and mountains behind. We are just 5 miles from the World Heritage site at Harlech with its magnificent castle,- and where the famous Royal St Davids Golf Course is located. The Italianate Village of Porthmerion is within easy reach.

the properties are non smoking and sadly we cannot accept pets

Delightfull Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Y Bwthyn is a lovely delightful place to stay.

The cottage had everything we needed for our family. It was warm, welcoming, clean and very comfortable. The owners made us feel very welcome. Y Bwthyn is close to the beach which is great for making sandcastles!

A great family holiday cottage which I would recommend to friends.

We have just spent a fabulous week at the cottage with our two children aged 13 and 10. The cottage is spacious with a west facing dining area, lovely for the evening sunset. We thoroughly enjoyed a complimentary chocolate cake and home made loaf of bread. The property is ideally located for the beach (10 minute stroll), with great sand dunes for many games of man hunt. We also took advantage of the local walks giving spectacular beach views and visited the local shop for a few forgotten provisions. There is a small outdoor area with a table a chairs for outside dining.

Perfect Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had wonderful one week in Y Bwthyn.

This is 2 beds cottage and very suitable for our family who has 2 adults and 2 children.

The cottage is very well equipped with everything, and the owners are very kind.

Most important is that the location is perfect.

From cottage you can see the sea, (not from our cottage window, but from garden or other cottages, you definitely have the sea view).

The nearest beach is so beautiful and large sand beach, during end of day, you will be able to see the beautiful sunset there.

The cottage is just in the middle between Porthmadog and Barmouth, both of them are good to visit.

Especially Porthmadog, the stream train is wonderful for kids.

The landscape between these two villages is so beautiful like a fine picture!

From there, you also can go to Snowdonia mountain, and Conwy.

We had very good experience and will go back there again.

Very comfortable cottage, well equipped with everything we needed. A warm welcome from the owners; homemade bread & shortbread provided.

Lovely peaceful location, no traffic noise and we could hear the sea. It's only a short walk to the beach or to through the woods to the local shop.Private garden area delightful to relax in and enjoy watching the birds.
