About SHEREE SMITH

We are husband and wife, Brent and Sheree Smith, having lived in France for almost four years, our first completed three bedroom gite was been a great success in our first season 2014, a further two bedroom(both En suite) followed by a one bedroom gite, are now ready to rent out, giving us three in total available. We have lovingly restored our home and look forward to welcoming you to spend your holidays in this beautiful tranquil location which is conveniently situated for many local attractions We work to an exceptionally high standard and feel confident you will be comfortable and delighted with our home. We have worked in the property business for over thirty years, bringing homes back to their former glory with a modern touch.

SHEREE SMITH purchased this farmhouse in 1997

Why SHEREE SMITH chose Avranches area

We originally purchased in France as our own holiday home and decided a few years ago that it is too good not to share. Although in a quite location, it is ideally situated for the road networks, air, rail and ferry travel for access to and from your home and also to explore the many beautiful attractions on offer in the region. We absolutely love the Mont St. Michel which is magical and only 14 miles away from us. There are many sandy beaches within easy reach, lots of coastal trails and walks, Children's amusement parks, fishing golf, horse riding, cycling and walking routes. Of course there is the beautiful countryside which surrounds us, fields, woods and the world famous Jules Lepenetiere hourse training track.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Conveniently tucked away in a quite location with the benefit of being near enough to be the on the main road network within minutes. Should you wish to stay away from the bustling beaches and cities, we have lots to offer here at Marigny, our very own beautiful gite, boasting south facing patio and gardens all around, wonderful pool area for splashing around or relaxing as you wish. The all important wifi which is available in house and poolside too. The children's play area has now been constructed and we are pleased to present The Mini Manoir for the smaller holiday maker. This is located so that it is visible from the frontage of our entire property. Plenty of space for outside dining.

Perfect Stay in Every Way

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this place and it was even better than the photos we had seen. Had everything we needed and great attention to detail. Location is spot on for Mont Saint Michel but also so many other beautiful spots in Normandy and Brittany. Sheree & Brent were so helpful and the pool was just right. Setting is magical and very relaxing. Would definitely return and highly recommend to others.

Has to be seen to be believed

  • 5 of 5

I don't know where to start, I really don't. This beautiful property is in a lovely, quiet location. We stayed in the two bedroom gite. What a place. The decor is beautiful, with a lovely log burner, wonderful comfy bed and wonderful showers, with lashings of hot water. We arrived very late, due to a ferry delay, and Sheree was there to meet us in the fog, and guide us to the property by torchlight. Wonderful breakfast and relaxation. There is lots of wildlife, with all manner of birds to see. There is English tv too, If you want to get away, refill your tank, clear your mind this is the place for you. Sheree and Brent are super people, and first class hosts. We can't wait to return. You owe it to yourself to visit here. Outstanding. Viv and Nigel

Absolutely fabulous. We could not have changed anything everything was first class. The gite has been expertly renovated and has a very modern interior. The pool was an added bonus too. Thank you Sheree and Brent for making us feel so welcome.

The perfect french getaway

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly what we were after for a week away in an idilic location. There was just the two of us so the 1 bedroom cottage was the perfect size. The amenities were all very modern, clean and good quality. It is very obvious that Brent and Sheree take pride in the properties they rent and this one was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated throughout and homely enough for a week away. The pool is a great addition and was used daily by us.

Brent and Sheree were also the perfect hosts. They had excellent tips for local towns to visit, the best hidden beaches, authentic French markets and tourist hotspots. They both immediately made us feel welcome and at home and were kind enough to provide a plentiful welcome basket (complete with bread, cheese, milk, jam and other essentials). Sheree was also kind enough to provide us with a slice of homemade lemon cake, made from the lemons grown on the property.

The property was beautifully secluded and hidden away, with fields surrounding on every side. The great thing was that you were still just a short drive (or cycle) from the nearest villages and towns for anything you could possibly need.

This was the most tranquil and relaxing holiday and we are looking forward to returning soon. We couldn't recommend the property any higher.

A peaceful & relaxing retreat

  • 5 of 5

A peaceful and relaxing retreat in the Normandy countryside. The Gite was superbly fitted out by Brent and Sheree who made us very welcome and couldn't do enough to help when needed.

It is a great base for some spectacular sites - Mont St-Michel, Bayeux and Fougeres to mention three. The nearest town has a great supermarket and good restaurants and bars.

We would recommend this to any one and will certainly be going there again in the future.
