Traditional Cottage With Modern Facilities and Free WiFi

Updated: 20-Oct-2016
Stonegarth Cottage in Staithes, North Yorkshire Moors, England - Beautiful Seaside Location

Stonegarth is a traditional cottage in the heart of old Staithes which is perfect for couples and families alike with a cosy lounge area with multi-fuel stove and separate kitchen/diner. It is a much loved second home and has recently undergone further improvement work which has provided a new house bathroom and ground floor cloakroom. The cottage has a multi-fuel stove, storage heaters and underfloor heating. The internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues plus there is some restricted head height on the second floor.

Happy hols at stonegarth

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I, along with our three young children, had a short week staying at Stonegarth in the second half of Easter. The location was ideal being very central, with the property decorated and equipped to a good standard. We would recommend it for anyone wanting a cottage of character but that has been finished to a modern standard. Amanda was helpful and friendly throughout the booking process and afterwards.

A lovely cottage in a great location.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was very well equipped. The location was fabulous in the heart of the village which had some great facilities.

I felt we were very spoilt with the under floor heating which made the cottage very cosy, although we were very lucky with the weather for the time of year and probably didn't need it, it was very welcome.

A beautifully furnished cottage with a lot of character.

Great location, comfortable quirky cottage

  • 5 of 5

Stonegarth is very well located in the pretty fishermans village of Staithes. The property is very comfortable, traditionally decorated and well equipped. It is a lovely quirky property with lovely winding stairs leading to the two bedrooms, our daughters particularly enjoyed staying in the attic bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend both Stonegarth and Staithes to anyone.

Deceivingly spacious well equiped cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Second visit to this quaint centrally located cottage which is 'tardis' like in size. Although bedrooms and living rooms are in keeping with a traditional stone cottage the bathroom and kitchen are contemporary and offer comfortable and clean accommodation. Amanda (owner/manager) has always been more than helpful and as such this will not be our last visit. Had always used the Cod and Lobster pub on the sea front but this time we ate more at the Royal George and the Captain Cook, which once you have scaled the small 'mountain' from the village offers a well needed cold drink and a hearty meal. Looking forward to our next visit already.

A comfortable, well appointed cottage

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, well appointed and well-equipped cottage in the centre of the village. The management were helpful and accommodating and Staithes was relaxing and sunny. The Endeavour café provided an excellent Sunday Lunch and the Seafood Platter at the Cod and Lobster was brilliant but huge. Will be back

Excellent Little Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely little cottage on two levels, the facilities were excellent everything we needed, it was clean and well maintained and dog friendly. Staithes itself is steeped in history, we were only a short walk from the small harbour, the two pubs were excellent, we ate in one of them most days and both pubs are dog friendly. We found all the locals extremely friendly.

We would certainly recommend Stonegarth as a place to stay and Staithes is a very interesting area.
