About Graham Doyles

I am in my 50s, and moved to the country to enjoy a nice quiet life. I take pride in my property and this shows in both the grounds and houses alike.

Graham Doyles purchased this house in 2003

Why Graham Doyles chose Stranraer

I had recently moved to the area and it seemed to be a nice location with the cottage surrounded by woodlands and loads of wildlife. After living here for a few years I got planning permission to build a second house on an elevated location on the property with spectactular views, which I completed in 2011. I feel it's a beautiful place for a rest and relaxing break for a large family with plenty of space in the woods and garden for children and big kids to play.

What makes this house unique

The house is well equiped with practically everything you would have in your own home. The only down side is there is no mobile signal, but then this could also be a bonus! (there is a landline available)

Very well finished house with lots of space and excellent outdoor space

  • 5 of 5

Very good stay at the property. When at the rear of the property you have the feeling of complete seclusion and full privacy.

The homes itself is larger than expected too.

Had a lovely time!

  • 5 of 5

This has a spacious living space over 2 floors providing all the facilities you would require during your stay - the pictures don't really do it justice. It is a very well-planned, well-presented, neat, clean and modern cottage. The owner (Graham) kindly left some welcome flowers and biscuits for us and popped round to make sure we had settled well. My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay and were very impressed with the cottage.

If you are thinking of getting away from it all yet still being close to amenities and places to visit, then this would be a good choice.

cairnhapple house

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in self catering houses from Inverness to Cornwall and if there is a better presented house we have yet to find it. It is spacious with good quality furniture and beds.

Outside there is more than enough room for a herd of children to play.

10 out of 10 does not do it justice.

Wonderful family get-together

  • 5 of 5

Amazing house set in beautiful surroundings. The website doesn't do it justice! The house is very spacious and has everything you need. Fully stocked kitchen. So much space outside for the kids to run around, play football and explore the woodlands. We stayed 4 nights and wished it was longer. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

The property in Stranraer

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful with lots of space. It would be hard to find something the same anywhere else. The surroundings are superb. The children really loved it. Very quiet but not too far from anything. Great for a big family holiday and with its own micro climate in that area the weather didn't disappoint either.

A simply beautiful home set in stunning, peaceful surroundings - the website does NOT do it justice!

26 -30 May, 2017

My husband and I, along with our two sons, their wives and children (a 3yr old and two 1yr olds), stayed at Cairnhapple for a long weekend break.

We were more than delighted with Cairnhapple House - the website photos do not do justice to this very spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean home. Be prepared to be bowled over!! None of us could think of anything we needed which Graham had not already provided.

There was even a beautiful vase full of flowers and special cookies set out for our arrival - a lovely welcoming touch. Thank you Graham.

Graham had also provided two high chairs and travel cots - nothing was a bother to him.

Our online grocery shopping arrived just after we did - all set!

We did have a couple of days out to Stranraer and pretty Portpatrick, but were always happy to go 'back home' to Cairnhapple. Plenty of sunshine and fresh air - we all slept like babies - even the babies!!!

The bedroomswere spacious and had super comfy beds and bedding - no wonder we went out like lights.

The sun shone for three out of the four days - allowing a lot of play outside in the very spacious grounds. The paddling pool was filled (Graham very kindly fixed up a hose for us) - we all got soaked - not just the wee ones! Football and swing-ball and chasing and hiding and looking for squirrels, pheasants, deer and herons and feeding the birds and and and ........the simplest things in life are the best!

We had a few 'blethers' and laughs with Graham - very friendly, helpful and laid-back!

I could go on and on about Cairnhapple but will stop here and let you all discover it for yourselves - you will NOT be disappointed.
