Guestbook comments from the owner

It's a brilliant place, felt like staying at a friends house rather than a rental.

Didn't want to leave! Definitely coming back!

The cottage has a warm welcoming atmosphere, light and airy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge inviting with a big fireplace. The beds are super comfortable and we all slept well. It was only the lure of Buck's Fizz in the pretty sheltered garden that dragged us to our feet. It's a real sun trap, and was warm enough for tshirts even in March. If youre feeling energetic the moors are just a little way up the hill, the views are lovely. A short walk down hill to the beach and a friendly pub for lunch. Perfect.

Comfortable and luxurious cottage in great location.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Lower Moor Farm Cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated and comfortable, and well equipped for all your needs. The location is ideal: it's set in the delightful scenic area of North Hill with thatched cottages, a beautiful old church and great views. You can walk to the beach and also onto Exmoor, and there are plenty of amenities in Minehead. The owner, Sarah, was very helpful and friendly, and easily contactable. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Exceptional property

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful cottage is very well equipped, having everything we wanted and more for our weeks holiday. The decor and furnishings were of a high standard and everything was spotlessly clean. The contained garden was a real sun trap on the rare occasion the sun decided to show itself! But even on occasions when it didn't shine the garden is a lovely tranquil place to start the day with a coffee or end it with a glass or two of wine.

The cottage is a 15 minute, downhill walk into Minehead, it may take a little longer to walk home! In the other direction, Exmoor is a short drive. The location therefore gives you lots of options of things to do and with the A39 not being too far away the opportunities to explore further afield are endless. Some of the places we visited were Porlock, Porlock Weir, Watchett, Dunster and Blue Anchor Bay.

The kind gesture of having tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and milk waiting for us on our arrival was very much appreciated and the owner was very caring, efficient and professional in all her correspondence with us. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, spacious & well-equipped cottage!

  • 4 of 5

Tucked away in the upper narrow streets of Minehead, the cottage is a great find and perfect to get away from it all. Dog friendly with a fully enclosed shingle and paved garden, walking on the Moor is just up the road & various beaches are also close by (walking or car journey away).

The cottage has all good mod-cons, is warm and comfortable with well-appointed bathrooms and decent sized beds! Easy communication with the property owner, and lots of instructions available when you arrive.

We took trips to Lynton, Dunster and the Tarr Steps with our dogs - easy to get to and great for walking.

Our only disappointment from a walking perspective, was a lack of decent sandy beaches locally for the dogs - all mainly pebble and mud flats, but probably easier stretches to use in non summer months.

We would love to stay again at this house - we were only on a short weekend break and definitely ran out of time to get more things done.

Delightful

  • 5 of 5

My Wife and I and our two dogs stayed here a couple of years ago and it doesn't fail to disappoint. The lovely thatched cottage is extremely comfortable and well equipped and the garden is a little sun trap. Plenty of walks to go on from the cottage and the surrounding areas of Porlock, Lynton & Lynmouth are beautiful
