It's a brilliant place, felt like staying at a friends house rather than a rental.

Didn't want to leave! Definitely coming back!

The cottage has a warm welcoming atmosphere, light and airy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge inviting with a big fireplace. The beds are super comfortable and we all slept well. It was only the lure of Buck's Fizz in the pretty sheltered garden that dragged us to our feet. It's a real sun trap, and was warm enough for tshirts even in March. If youre feeling energetic the moors are just a little way up the hill, the views are lovely. A short walk down hill to the beach and a friendly pub for lunch. Perfect.

Fabulous retreat, home from home.

Much care and though has been put onto this amazing and beautiful cottage. A very comfy and cosy stay, where great memories were made. Would recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to visit the area for a weekend or longer. Just pack your bag and go, everything else has been taken care of. Will be returning again.

Lovely cottage ideal base for holiday in Somerset/Devon

  • 5 of 5

Cottage has everything needed for a relaxing holiday and is close enough to so many places to explore without having to drive too far. Minehead town and beaches within walking distance - the walk back a little more taxing than the walk there but great if you want a car free day. Garden so peaceful in the evening enjoying a glass or two.

A lovely luxurious cottage. A home from home. Exceeded expectations.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has a fully enclosed garden which is quite difficult to find. It was extremely well equipped and the Aga kept the accommodation warm and cosy. It really was a great find and the accommodation was much nicer than the photographs (which are nice anyway). Bedding was also luxurious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Minehead beach was great for the children and the dog and was in walking distance - although quite a steep climb in the return journey back to the cottage!

The only possible downside was probably only an issue due to our inexperience of country living. The cottage front door opens onto the road/lane. At first we were on constant alert of our children letting themselves out of the front door and getting run over. However the road/lane was very quiet and the cars that did use the road/lane were always careful. A similar point is that parking is also a bit tricky. It is past the cottage and we found reversing into the slope the best option, but the road is narrow so this was quite a tricky manoeuvre with a big car and a big white rock on the driveway.

Anyway, we had a great time and this accommodation fully warrants its 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

February Short Break

  • 5 of 5

What a great property! Five of us stayed for a long weekend in a chilly February. The cottage is beatifilly furnished and includes quality finishes with the soft furnishings. Wonderfully equipped kitchen with everything you might need including a great coffee maker and nice touches like tea, coffee, milk, sugar & a packet of biccies to start you off and things like washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towels, hand soap etc which many self catering places don't provide. A walk in to town may be a bit of an ask if you aren't good with hills but the short car journey makes it simple. Great communication from the owner too. Highly recommended.
