Bleatarn Park offers a choice of one and two bedroom self catering cottages, housed within a former barn. Carefully restored and converted, the barn stands within its own grounds and is literally a stones throw from the Hadrian's Wall Path. Residents enjoy exclusive access to the famous World Heritage Site via a path passing the tarn that gives the property its name. Here you will see wildlife in its natural habitat as well as cattle and sheep grazing in open fields. A short drive away is the historic border city of Carlisle. Traditionally the gateway to Scotland, Carlisle is steeped in a rich history with its castle, cathedral and award-winning museum as well as modern and stylish shopping facilities. A forty five minute drive to the south will bring you to the Northern lake district to Ullswater and Keswick, the main tourist centre in the North Lakes. The cottages themselves are equipped to a very high standard, with modern kitchens and comfortable furnishings.
I am a married mother of two teenage daughters, enjoying the country life with our array of pets [pony, sheep, dog, cats]. I look forward to welcoming you!

Bleatarn Park has been in family ownership for over a hundred years.
Formerly a redundant barn, its has been our dream to renovate and convert this beautiful building into holiday cottages for many years - a dream which we turned into reality in 2011.
Bleatarn's peaceful location is a haven for nature lovers and we made the original farmhouse [adjacent] our own home nearly 20 years ago.
What we love about the location is that despite the fact it is so peaceful, it is far from remote. A fifteen minute drive will bring you right into the city centre of Carlisle
The property's location is absolutely unique - if you want to be close to Hadrians Wall, you wont get any closer than this! We are literally a stones-throw from the line of the wall and the now world famous pathway that stretches its entire length.
Residents enjoy exclusive access to the wall path, via a private pathway

We have spent 3 delightful days in that very comfortable, immaculate, light and well equipped flat, ideally located near Hadrian's wall.
The kitchen is modern with everything we needed. Fantastic bathroom - super shower ! The flat is tastefully decorated (nothing cheap as in other places!)
The owner is very helpful and sorted out our issues with the internet. We will definitely come back whenever we stop near Carlisle again!
L'appartement idéal pour visiter les différents sites du mur d'Hadrien. Très propre et lumineux, très bien équipé, avec de beaux matériaux. Cinq étoiles pour la salle de bains et l'accueil de la propriétaire! Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation!
