Guestbook comments from the owner

We have been holidaying at Riverside for many years and are already booked up for next year. Ron & Jayne are the perfect hosts and are there if you need anything. The peace and quiet is so good that it is a shame that it is constantly interrupted by a myriad of wildlife! The cottage is always immaculately presented, homely and welcoming. You are only a short drive from Inverness where the whole of the north of Scotland is there for you. What more could you ask for.

John & Liz Robertson

Myself, wife, daughter and our family dog decided to visit Scotland in April. We were pleased that Ron & Jane accepted pets at the property as this is not always the case when looking for accommodation. After a long trip from Bristol, we were pleasantly surprised to find the location was exactly as described in the online advert we had viewed. The cottages are well equipped and very clean, with all the mod cons that you need. the rooms are comfortable.

Stunning views. Well equipped and furnished. Warm and comfortable. Very welcoming hosts.

  • 5 of 5

The Highlands are stunningly beautiful. Great forest walks, lovely places to visit, eg Calder Castle. Inverness itself is a lovely city, enjoyed the museum and walking along the river. Lots of wildlife, deer and a stag and hares, dolphins at Rosepoint, birdlife a plenty. Had a great cream tea in the farm shop near the Foyers falls. A wonderful place to rest and recharge our batteries and get away from it all.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review. The castle you visited is Cawdor Castle and the dolphins can be seen at Rosemarkie.

Lovely holiday

  • 5 of 5

The description and location was very accurate and the property was very well presented and comfortable. It was well maintained having all the equipment required for a worry free holiday. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage, and the helpfulness of Ron & Jayne.

The area was quiet but in easy reach of Inverness and other places of interest. The property had a pleasant walk down to the river and other walks within easy reach.

We would certainly recommend this property to Family and Friends and would certainly return if ever up that way again.
