Overview

Property

Updated: 06-Dec-2016
Cottage in Saint Saturnin Les Apt, Luberon, Vaucluse, Provence-Alpes-Cote DAzur, France - Peacefully Tucked Away Yet 750 Metres Walk to Village With Excellent Commerces. That's Rare!

One of the features that make our gites stand out is the ability to walk into the village in under 10 minutes. Whether this is to buy your baguette and morning croissant, for the weekly market or being able to walk home from one of the four restaurants so you can enjoy an extra glass of rosé! The swimming pool is shared between the two gites and occasionally by guests in our B&B room, it is heated early and late season and by sunshine the rest. It has salt water, which is kinder to your skin and the environment. Surrounding the pool are 6 sunbeds, 2 parasols and the pool house has a sofa and chairs where you can relax in the shade and keep your drinks cool in the fridge. The pool house is a great place for sundowners, which we often take with our guests making an ideal time to swap stories and get tips on things to see, hiking & Cycling routes, restaurants etc We have free WiFi in all areas, English & French television, covered parking and there is a laundry room for our guests with ironing board etc. The gites are almost identical, and are equipped to a very high standard with everything you will need if you enjoy cooking whilst on holiday and for alfresco cooking a weber BBQ is provided on your terrace. All linen, bathroom and pool towels are included. Over 50% of our clients return each year, and our clients are from all over the world, European, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand & South African giving a great variety of interesting people to share experiences with.

Third visit, fantastic as usual!

  • 5 of 5

Our third visit to David and Karen's fabulous gites was every bit as good as the first two. Superb facilities, great hospitality, and beautiful views. David is now an accomplished road cyclist with lots of routes to share. Had great time tackling Ventoux with him, twice! We will be back for two weeks next year, best wishes Martin & Linda

Serene, tranquil gite in the heart of Provence

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful, peaceful and relaxing week enjoying, walking, fine dining, sumptuous wines and exploring the secrets of Provence in equal measures! Our hosts David and Karen take great pride in their accommodation and it shows. The poolside sundowners each evening hosted by David and Karen were a highlight of the week as was getting to know the guests in the adjacent gite. However, should you wish to remain at arms lengt, there is every opportunity to enjoy complete privacy! An adult only, boutique resort, which is highly recommended. We will return as soon as we get the chance! Thank you so much!

This is paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We had a marvellous time in the Provence! We enjoyed our stay in the superb gite, the splendid panoramic view on the Mountains of the Luberon, the beautiful garden, the infinity swimmingpool, the silence, the songs of the birds...We visited the charming little villages in the surrounding, as St.Saturnin, Gordes, Rousillion, Fontaine de Vaucluse etc. . David and Karen are very nice people and very helpfull .We really loved our stay and hope to return soon. Edith and Carlos

Fantastic!!

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived 2 things struck us - a personal welcome from David & Karen Taylor and everything looked just like it did in the advertisements - not always the case!!

Everything about this holiday was memorable. The geography, the gite, the infinity pool and David and Karen were excellent hosts with a refreshing approach - including joining in for drinks by the pool each evening as friends and to share their knowledge of the area and offer advice.

A great place with lovely hosts - we will be going back

Peaceful Oasis

  • 4 of 5

David & Karen have created a peaceful oasis. The gite was very clean, comfortable, well furnished and well presented. The property provided nice views across the valley. The property and pool were beautifully kept. David & Karen work hard to provide an enjoyable holiday spot, with superb hospitality. The location is close to lots of interesting sights and also provides a lovely environment to relax. There are good restaurants in the village, within walking distance.

Our little piece of heaven for 2 weeks

  • 5 of 5

The Gite and location were perfect. You can explore big cities or small villages and hamlets, cycle, walk, visit vine yards or simply relax by the pool. David & Karen Taylor are very welcoming and knowledgeable. It's simply wonderful for couples who want to get away from it all and relax.

We bought a village house in 2004 and loved being right in the village so when we purchased our land we were adamant it had to be within walking distance . We like being able to walk to the boulangerie in the morning and back from the restaurant at night.
