Great Family reunion
Extremely well thought out accommodation. The bedding and towels lovely. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Dinning area was great for big families and the lounge was really comfortable. I could not have asked for more. Absolutely loved it
Very comfortable cottage in a stunning location!
We were a party of 4, bringing our elderly parents to visit the area we had holidayed in for many years as children - so a real trip down memory lane for us all!. This cottage looked perfect for our visit. The enquiry and booking process was very easy and quick. We arrived at the cottage on a late Autumn afternoon, to be greeted by fabulous sun-lit views across the Conway valley - simply stunning!! The description given (and photos) of the cottage on the website are very accurate, so there were no disappointments. It was very comfortable and well equipped; with easy to use/control heating & hot water, lovely comfortable beds and many different areas to relax in (both inside and outside the cottage). The cottage's crowning glory is it's views (not a road or vehicle in sight). We were lucky enough to enjoy late afternoon tea outside most afternoons, overlooking the beautiful scenery. Despite the peace and tranquility of it's location, it's only a few minutes drive to all the amenities you need, in the nearest town (Llanwrst). A perfect location for exploring the delights of Snowdonia and the North Wales coast. Definitely a highly recommended property!
Great house in a great location
This comfortable and well equipped cottage suited our purposes for a family reunion very well. We were blessed with good weather and had blissful times sitting on the terrace looking at the view. Communication with the owner Jo was easy and prompt and the cottage is more spacious inside than the photos had led me to believe. I would thoroughly recommend the cottage and the area.
Spacious and relaxing hub to Welsh outdoor pursuits
This was the perfect cottage for 3 generations of my family to not only spend quality time in the beautiful Welsh countryside, but to also be within close proximity to some amazing outdoor entertainment. The pictures on VRBO are accurate, but they do not convey the impressive entrance to Plas Maenen Country House Hotel and the short gravel road climb up to the charming cottage escape. The views are much more that any photo can represent. The large kitchen and adjoining dining room enabled our party of 6 to enjoy our breakfast and meals. The living room and sun room gave flexible spaces to spread out and do different things. The house is full of books, games and information, neatly organized and easy to put back in place. The bedrooms are spacious and well organized.
During our stay, we experienced Velocity, the 100mph zipline, championship go karting at GYG Karting and Crash n' Splash at Surf Snowdonia - all within a short drive from the cottage. Surf Snowdonia is so close to the cottage that if you look to the east from the far end of the wave machine, you can see the Plas Maenen hotel and cottage. You can also see the rock overlook that is directly above the cottage. This is a steep walk that immediately begins behind the cottage and takes you behind the fields of sheep and up to breathtaking views. I'll send pictures to the owner and hopefully they can add to their listing. This hiking trail was the highlight for me.
This is a wonderful place to explore and relax.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful spot
We've enjoyed a few holidays in this area in the past - beautiful scenery and lots to do close at hand. But this has to be the best cottage we've stayed in! What an amazing spot, so easy to get to, and yet so peaceful, amazing views and lots of wildlife.
It's really well equipped, especially lots of stuff for the kids - toys, games, DVDs and wii games. Jo was incredibly helpful with booking, any queries, and a left behind teddy. Would highly recommend.
Amazing property, amazing views!
The cottage is an amazing place to visit in the country. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The town is close for groceries, the views are amazing, the locals are kind. Overall this place is amazing!!!
