About the Owner

After successful careers in the UK and abroad Sue and Geoff have settled on an Organic smallholding just outside Exminster with a holiday cottage opposite.

Sue and Geoff have run Lower Towsington Cottage as a holiday home for 5 years. Having won top awards for the cottage through well known holiday rental companies they decided that Owners Direct was the way forward benefitting the owner and the customer.

The cottage has only just become part of the Owners Direct website so is very much in its infancy. We have already received lovely feedback from visitors and look forward to continuing throughout this season and beyond.

Beautiful cottage - perfect for families

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Sue and Geoff an their beautiful cottage we had a perfect holiday. The kids loved to feed the animals and we didn't have to worry about traffic or anything. They could just be outside all the time. The cottage is just as nice as the photos show and it has all the amenities one could hope for. Besides, it was very clean and cosy. A home away from home! Sue and Geoff were always very helpful and welcoming. Thanks again to Sue for the weekly muffins, eggs and home grown vegetables.

The cottage is also perfect for there are lots of interesting places close by.

We would definitely highly recommend this cottage!

Beautiful cottage!

This is a wonderful cottage - so beautifully decorated and equipped. We loved the garden (great for a BBQ) and our two boys had a fantastic time. Thank you to Sue for being so welcoming and accommodating and for furnishing with eggs and muffins on arrival. We thoroughly recommend the sausages!

The cottage is exactly as described and exceeded all expectations - very well equipped, clean, picturesque and the location is brilliant.

Sue & Geoff are excellent hosts, and available to provide a wealth of local tips and recommendations.

The location is wonderful - very peaceful and only a short drive from numerous beaches and great dog walks.

I would highly recommend this cottage, and will definitely be booking again!

Great time in Exminster

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is cozy, tastfully furnished and you have everything you need, so we felt right at home. It is also really easy to get to Exeter to enjoy a day in the city. Sue and Geoff were just lovely and really helpful if we were looking for the best route to drive, for example.

All in all we can really recommend a stay here!

Beautiful cottage and gardens

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was not only as described on the website but exceeded our expectations with everything you need for a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Aided by the very accommodating nature of the owners Geoff and Sue who could not have been more helpful, always on hand with plenty of time for explaining the farm to our children and allowing them to help feed the animals and collect eggs. The location of the cottage was perfect for our needs with the beeches and moors both only a short drive away before the tranquility and relaxation of the cottage in the evening. Would definitely recommend and will look forward to a revisit at some stage.

I can't fault the cottage at all. It's beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in a great location. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Has a lovely garden and the added benefit of chickens and alpacas! I would thoroughly recommend this property.
