About the Owner

Hi we have been holidaying in Nerja for 20 years and finally took the plunge in 2010 to buy the apartment you are viewing. We are a North east couple and have loved every holiday in Nerja , it has everything we want in a holiday. Sun , beautiful scenery , fantastic restaurant's, great tapas bars and plenty of nightlife if you look for it.

Capistrano is an idyllic village on the outskirts of the main town and serviced by n hourly bus and plenty of local taxis. The gardens and pool areas are kept to a very high standard.

As we have mentioned the two sun terraces are South facing and have the sun from midday until dusk, and cannot be overlooked by neighbours.

Amazing Apartmetn Nerja

Great holiday at this great apartment. Len and Pat very helpful on our late arrival. Apartment very clean and comfortable had a great week at this apartment and hopefully will be able to go back next year. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful a very peaceful and very clean complex. Loved it. Margaret and Lee.

Perfect in a quiet location

Spacious one bedroom apartment with two terraces spotlessly clean excellent facilities. Set in a lovely complex with two swimming pools and on site bars. Were met by Len & Pat who couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended and easy communication with owner would definitely stay again.

Lovely apartment

Just come back from our 5night stay apartment was great really comfy and clean roof terrace was great for this of the year thanks to Len and pat who meet us at apartment on our late arrival and are a lovely couple having been to Nerja many times we will be booking this apartment again and again thanks for a lovely stay see you soon Julie and Brian

Great apartment

Having stayed on Capistrano over many years we can honestly say that

this is one of nicest most well equipped apartments we have stayed in.

On arrival we were met by Len & Pat who showed us around and explained everything to us. We can highly recommend this as a great base for exploring the surrounding area, there are two great pools

and a mini market on sight and 2 larger supermarkets within walking

distance. Will be returning again in the near future.

Lovely apartment, lovely location.

We stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks in March 2015. Everything is as described here on the site, and the place was spotlessly clean. The two sun terraces get the sun virtually all day, even in March - we were sitting out until 6:30pm most days, enjoying the sunset with a G & T.

Len & Pat (keyholders for Karen & Michael, the owners) were at the apartment to meet us and fill us in on all the workings, etc. They're a really nice, friendly couple who are only to happy to give you advice on places to visit, etc.

To say that the apartment is well-equipped would be an understatement - we have certainly never stayed in self-catering accommodation before where the kitchen equipment and utensils are so comprehensive.

A couple of evenings were a bit chilly, but there was a portable calor gas type heater which soon had us toasty warm - it was so good you had to turn it off after about 30 minutes, even with it on the minimum setting.

Location-wise, it's an easy 30 minute walk into the centre of Nerja. Burriana beach is a bit closer, but it's a steep walk back up from there. There are 3 supermarkets virtually on the doorstep and an ATM at the El Capistrano Offices. There's even a shopping trolley in the apartment for you to drag your big bottles of water and cases of wine back in!

The Nerja Caves are a pleasant 45 minute walk from the apartment, slightly uphill for the last 10 minutes or so, but with some wonderful views both inland and out to sea on the way. The caves themselves are amazing! We would recommend that you visit them in the morning and then head down to the village of Maro (which you see from the caves). It's a lovely little place, and we enjoyed drinks and lunch at the Hogar Social Bar and Restaurant - excellent food at silly prices.

You're not short of choice in terms of places to eat near the apartment either, although we tended to "eat in" a lot of evenings.

We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone, but could not comment on the comfort of the sofa-bed, as we only used it as a sofa. For this purpose, it was fine.

Broadband and TV were fine, and there was a bookcase well-stocked with books for all tastes. This was a Godsend for me, as my Kindle "died" on the flight out (old age, I suspect - the Kindle, not me!!)

All in all, if you're looking for a nice clean place to stay, comfortable without being luxurious, and well-placed to explore Nerja and its surroundings - look no further.

Highly recommended

This was our third visit to Nerja. We find better restaurants,bars & places to visit each time we return. We stay during September & enjoy the peaceful laid back atmosphere of El Capistrano village & its 2 swimming pools. The apartment is ideal for a self catering break ( 2 supermarkets within 5 mins walk). It is very clean & well maintained. It has free wi-fi along with satellite tv (SKY sports & BT sports inc. ).The roof top terrace is a sun worshippers paradise, very private with lovely views. The main balcony is great for having meals & drinks on, getting the sun until dusk. Len & Pat will meet you on arrival, they are very friendly & helpful, offering great advice on where to eat & drink in Nerja.
