Ideally located near the Flask Inn, Café, Garage and Shop. There are excellent public transportation links within a 5 minute walk to the main A171 Whitby to Scarborough road where the buses stop. Stable Cottage is perfectly positioned for many walks, coastal, country, short or long, suitable for casual walkers and experienced hikers. The famous Lyke Wake Walk passes to the rear of the cottage and other paths lead will lead you to Ravenscar, Boggle Hole, Robin Hoods Bay, Maybecks, Falling Foss and Goathland. Many quaint coastal villages, such as Staithes and Runswick Bay are all within easy reach. The Cottage is 12 miles from Scarborough Beach and town. The historic town of Whitby is 8 miles away. Its famous attributes such as ancient abbey, marina, cobbled streets, Dracula and Goth weekends, not to mention the cosmopolitan restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques, all add to the experiences of visiting the Whitby area.

About Andrew Butterfield

Stable Cottage is run by Andrew and Caroline Butterfield. The Caravan Park Grouse Hill has been in the family for 38 years. The Cottage was converted in 2010 from an old coaching Inn stable, to provide luxury 4 Star Gold Awarded accommodation.We pride ourselves on high standards and aim to provide the customer with a memorable stay, thus gaining many repeat customers.

Outside: Stable cottage has a large grass area on both sides of the property. To the left the grass area is raised with feature stone steps and ornate stone gate posts, this leads to a level area, which for many years was the old quoits pitch. At the back of the cottage this is gravel featuring a seating area, of table and chairs, this is private and a south facing sun trap. The cottage has ample private off street car parking. Utility Room: N/A Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen is provided and includes bedding, towels, tea towels, dish cloths, and even oven gloves for those who fancy cooking up a special meal. ( bathrobes can be provided by request) Other: All guests are presented with a complimentary welcome pack consisting of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, fruit basket, fresh flowers and a locally sourced Botham's selection.(A breakfast hamper can be ordered upon request)

  • Booking Notes:
    When booking Stable Cottage a £100.00 deposit is required, the balance is due at time of check in. Check in times are available from 2.30pm and departures are required before 10.30am.

    Changeover Day:
    Flexible change over days are available. Check in from 2,30pm and day of departure before 10.30am.

    Notes on prices:
    £300 for three nights
    £360 for four nights
    £550 for a week
