Excellent

This was our second stay at Stretton House, and we look forward to our 3rd. and 4th. and more.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival and immediately made to feel at home by Dena and colleagues. Stretton house is just a perfect place for a gathering of friends and family. The house is beautiful and the grounds just perfect all set in beautiful countryside. I really can not find any fault with Stretoon, everything is just perfect.

Stunning house

  • 5 of 5

This is quite simply the best holiday rental I've ever stayed in. It's been beautifully renovated, and has so many features that make your stay super-comfortable. We all felt that the bedrooms felt more like staying in a hotel. All the rooms bar two are ensuite, and the rooms that aren't ensuite have their own bathrooms too, they're just across the corridor. There's always hot water whenever you want it, and it's beautifully warm inside. The house was spotlessly clean and immaculately presented. All this on top of the fact that it's a seriously impressive country house in its own right! Other places I considered were fractionally cheaper, but only fractionally, and overall represented far worse value for money. Book it immediately!

Best Large Holiday Let we have had in 20 years!

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Stretton House. In 20 years of hiring big houses this was definitely the best place we have ever stayed in as voted by all 24 adults and 8 children that stayed here.

We have stayed in very grand houses, newly furnished houses, well equipped houses, house with beautiful grounds, but never in a house that had it all - until we came to Stretton House.

All my dealings with Dena from the start were informative, helpful and generally really welcoming so I was already looking forward to staying in a house that was so evidently loved.

Debbie and John could not have been more welcoming on our arrival and we have never had such a comprehensive handover, no details spared and they were so very proud of the house and the facilities you could tell they loved the place too.

They were both very professional but at the same time approachable and we enjoyed talking to them both on arrival and when we left.

The added bonus of an amazing goodies bag was beyond generous.

Our group ranged from my 78 year old mum to my friends 4 year old daughter and the room configurations were perfect for our group.

We had everything we needed in terms of cooking utensils and pots/pans, crockery, bed linens, lovely towels, and toiletries as well as a hair dryer in the rooms!

The ice machine was a god send for the gin and tonics!

We would love to come back and I will for sure organise another event, although .

Thank you for letting us have an opportunity to stay together with our loved ones in a HOME not a house and what a grand home it was - We'll be Back!

Magnificent house in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Stretton House for a week during December 2016 and enjoyed the most wonderful family Christmas. The house is breathtaking. It was large enough for all of us to have stayed in great comfort without feeling on top of one another. The kitchens are exceptionally well equipped, Dena and her team have thought of everything that could possibly be required, and self-catering for 30 people was easily managed. The bedrooms, indeed all the rooms, are beautifully decorated, and tastefully furnished - personally, I found the library particularly charming. We will be back!

AN ABSOLUTE GEM

  • 5 of 5

We took this property for my mother's 100th birthday celebration. 32 relatives aged 10 months to 100 years.

I could not have found a more perfect property if I searched the globe. We fitted in with ease and were never on top of each other. There was something for everyone from a playroom for the littles to the cinema room for the dads to watch the rugby. It was beautifully warm and had roaring wood or coal fires in all the sitting rooms. Impeccably clean and beautifully fitted out it was better than a 4* hotel. The warm welcome and thoughtful gestures of a goody pack of sweeties for the children,(or adults) to the life sized cutout of the Queen complete with champagne and birthday wishes to the 100yr old made it a truly memorable and enjoyable weekend.

I am already planning a future visit. Thank you Dena,Andrew, John and Debbie

WOW, Wow and wow!! What a fantastic weekend had by all. The beautiful rooms and the tranquil breath taking surroundings were second to none. We couldn't of asked for a better setting to celebrate our Mother's 80th.

On arrival we were greeted by John and Debbie who were both friendly and professional. We were shown around the property, told the house rules and told if we needed anything just to call. The house itself is oozing with character, every room impeccably clean and fresh looking. It had everything you wished for including an open fire, big screen movie room, bar and socialising area, games room and areas where you could just sit quietly and admire the views. There was something for everyone to enjoy, and we were all proud to call Stretton House our home for the weekend until we woke up on Sunday and had to leave.... we all could have stayed a lot longer and are already looking at dates to come back. Thank you so much to Dena, John and Debbie
