Aptly named, Tidesreach is a small terrace of chalets just a short walk from the glorious sands of Hayle Bay, otherwise known as Polzeath. Number 10 is ideally located on one end with a splendid view across the beach to the sea. Its proximity to the beach is ideal for those with children, and those who enjoy surfing.

About the Owner

No 10 has been in the family for over 30 years and has been much loved in that time. It has recently been re-furbished to enable us to continue to enjoy it as a family, as well as letting it. We have had many wonderful family holidays at this special place - enjoying the surfing, sands and walking the coast paths. We love Polzeath and are confident that if this is your first visit, you could also feel the same.

Perfect location for a family surfing holiday.

We have just got back from a lovely week in Polzeath. We were very impressed by the chalet, which was more spacious than we were expecting. The chalet is perfect for those who like to surf and spend time on the beach. You can see what the waves are doing from the chalet and then with only a short walk you are in the sea. No need to take towels, beach tents, windbreaks and chairs! We just walked back to chalet to get changed. We made good use of the chalet's outside tap and bin for washing the wetsuits and the rear courtyard was perfect for storing the boards.

The chalet itself is well equipped and comfortable. We liked the separate shower and toilet set up and the sinks in each bedroom were very convenient. There is plenty of wardrobe space and the beds are comfortable.

The front patio has lovely sea views and is sheltered. There are also two parking spaces in the private car park.

There are some great coastal path walks. We liked the walk to Rock (about 3 miles there, 3 Miles back), walked along Daymer Bay Beach and caught the ferry to Padstow, great pasties and ice creams!

Highly recommended.

Perfect location with fabulous views!

This chalet is in the perfect position in Polzeath as it takes about 1 minute to walk to the beach, it has fabulous views of the sea from the lounge and the outside patio area, and it is very close to the coastal footpath, shops, cafes, restaurants etc., yet it was nice and quiet. The chalet itself was warm, well maintained, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Over all, the property offered good value for money and gave us everything we wanted, making our stay there very enjoyable. We would definitely book this chalet again the next time we want to stay in the Polzeath area.

Fab Sunsets over the ocean

This bungalow couldn't be in a better place, and a bonus to find it had 2 parking spaces as it's at the end of the row. It is compact, the double room is fine with plenty of wardrobe hanging. We had 3 girls in the 2nd room which was v.snug. The bathroom arrangements are odd but actually work really well, with a sink in each bedroom, a bath with shower in an internal room and a separate toilet but this saved queues for the bathroom. The shower was a bit noisy so an early shower would wake everyone in the morning.

The Chalet was clean with everything you would need provided, and the owner kindly lets you use the boards & windbreaks etc in the box outside.

The kitchen has a full size cooker, microwave & fridge, the back door leads to a yard with washing line & extra outdoor chairs (for the morning sun!), the outside tap is at the side with a bin for rinsing wetsuits.

There is no WiFi but its free at the Tubestation cafe up the road, also no mobile signal unless you are at the top of of the hill.

Watching the sun set over the sea with a cool drink was great from the patio area. Would definitely recommend, and 2 other holidaymakers in the row want to book this one next year.

May Half Term - great relax - little revision!!!

Fabulous week - close to the sea so even if the weather isn't so good you can surf and return quickly for a warm up shower!

Drinks on the patio at the end of the day, watching the sun go down - it doesn't get much better!!

Activity and Interests

Nearest Beach : Polzeath at 100 Metres

Coast/Beach:

Polzeath beach is world famous for surfers. It is also perfect for a 'bucket and spade' holiday. 10 Tidesreach is situated on the south west coast path meaning very easy access to coastal walks along to Port Isaac via Pentire, or Rock in the other direction. From Rock you can catch the ferry across to Padstow. In Rock there is the Rock Sailing Club and Camel Ski School for water skiing etc. The Camel Trail is also easily accessed for those who like to cycle.

Travel:

Nearest station is Bodmin Parkway

Nearest airport is Newquay

Distances:

Polzeath village centre is 2 minutes walking

Wadebridge is approx 15 minutes (7 miles)

Rock is 3 miles

Padstow (via the passenger ferry at Rock) is approx 15 minutes

Port Isaac is approx 20 minutes (7.5 miles)

Further Details:

Facilities in the village include a small Post Office, Spar, clothing, surfing and gift shops.,food outlets and bars to suit most tastes.. The Oyster Catcher pub is within 5 mins walk. Surf hire and lessons are available from various points in the village. There are restaurants in Rock, Padstow (either by passenger ferry from Rock or by road via Wadebridge). Wadebridge is a small market town with numerous shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

Pillows and duvets are provided - duvets for the double bed are double sized. Other: There is an outside tap to easily rinse wet suits and other equipment.
