Lovely Cottage, lovely people

  • 5 of 5

We've just spent a fantastic week in Honey Pot Cottage. The photos on the website don't do the property justice. It's a brand new holiday home, no expense spared on the building or furniture. It was beautifully clean, the kitchen area had every modern convenience, even a bottle of wine waiting. The garden was lovely, such a lot of space for our pet dog to run around in, with a choice of fresh vegetables. the cottage is completely private with free wi-fi 24 hrs a day. The owners, Carol and Neil live in the house in front and are always available if needed they were very friendly and great ambassadors for Sidmouth with excellent advice on local waterholes and places to visit. The walk into Sidmouth along the 'Byes' was a particular highlight and thoroughly recommended.

Superb cottage tucked away in an idyllic spot

  • 5 of 5

Lovely little cottage with every amenity you could ever need. Garden was delightful and very private, and we were very generously invited to help ourselves to produce growing there. As the owner/manager, Carol could not have done more to ensure that our stay was comfortable and relaxed. The location was excellent for getting out and about - bus services were frequent so it was not always necessary to take the car. The walk down to Sidmouth via The Byes was a very pleasant off-road experience passing quietly through a lovely landscape.

Owner's Response: We are most appreciative of your favourable review. Our most important consideration is that our quests in 'HoneyPot' enjoy their stay to the utmost and are always glad to hear that your stay has been a comfortable and enjoyable one. We feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful location and embrace it when visitors feel the same. Never forget those sunny moments from Sidmouth...we hope to welcome you back one day.

Gorgeous dog friendly cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a week staying at Honeypot cottage. There were 2 of us staying with our German Shepherd. The cottage, and the outside space, was perfect - everything inside had been thought of and had everything you would need and was immaculate. The outside space was fully enclosed so our dog could roam around freely and the garden was a lovely space to sit in. The cottage is behind the owners house, which before we went I was a little concerned of privacy, however I needn't have worried! Carol was there if we needed anything or had any questions but other than that we had total privacy for the whole week. Sidford is a lovely village and the Byes walk was perfect to walk the dog down to Sidmouth. The buses were very easy to use and dog friendly and there are some great beaches nearby. We'll definitely be back to Honeypot cottage!

Owner's Response: We greatly appreciate you writing such a positive review. It warms our hearts to hear that our visitors have everything that they need for a comfortable stay. It is always pleasing to find that others enjoy their days out in this area of Devon as much as we do and can return to 'HoneyPot' to rest well. Kindest Regards, Carol & Neil.

Lovely well equipped cottage/annexe.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was lovely & clean. A great bathroom {level access shower with handheld shower hose option} & well equipped kitchen. There were lovely extra food items on arrival & a welcoming bottle of wine. My mistake, as I use an electric wheelchair for access & did not check after seeing the property pictures, but I have my own portable ramp & used this to get over the front step. The french doors into the property are lovely & wide. Garden can be got to by either 2 steps or for me a side grass path to the lawn. Annexe situated in a quiet spot & Lulu , our dog loved the garden. Carol & Neil are very welcoming & there if you need help but otherwise you are in a secluded spot. Loved the 'essential' wi-fi & extra bonus Sky tv. A very happy restful holiday.

A truly delightful property/garden

  • 5 of 5

This is a delightful cottage with a very pretty secure garden for a dog. We enjoyed nearly every meal outside in this pretty setting. If the weather is not kind enough good seating inside to dine. The cottage is very comfortable with excellent comfy chairs to relax. Well equipped modern kitchen area. The patio doors look out on to this lovely garden and we had them open nearly all the time. It is a bright well maintained property with excellent furnishing. The owner is a very friendly lady whom it was a pleasure to meet. The owner obviously takes great pride in looking after the property and holidaymakers. Thank you Carol and Neil.

Wonderful cottage, great garden, super location

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, well equipped modern cottage exactly as described. We all loved the garden and Oscar, our Westie, particularly loved the free access to sniff around in the enclosed grounds. Everything was perfect and Carol and Neil, our hosts were great. Super location with lovely walks, especially the Byes walk to Sidmouth seafront. Great meals at The Blue Ball Inn just a couple of hundred metres up the road. Can't wait to visit again.
